Kodi Adding Control Codes To Movie Names
#16
This may be solved for user, but I was doing some testing on Kodi 22 nightly from a couple days ago.

I don't use "multipath" source, so needed to do some testing to get a feel for it.

I note that what OP refers to as "control codes" appears to be URL encoded paths, which is required for a multipath source.

I created a multipath video source, content type none.

Unexpected results.  I navigated videos/files and selected my multipath source.
I got a subfolder listing.  Where subfolders with the same name existed in both paths in the multisource, selecting the subfolder listed the files merged from both paths, but Estuary UI only showed the path to the second path of the multipath.

I then used the UI to set content type to "movies".
Kodi correctly scanned both paths in the multipath and scraped or read nfo files as needed.  All scraped movies were added to the were added to the database per library movies/title node.

Next I opened the file manager and created a multipath files source.  Opening this multipath in the file manager did show both paths as required as URL-encoded multipath:\\ (Can't tell the exact path in Estuary UI as the label is truncated).  But when I exited Kodi and restarted, going into the file manager and opening the multipath file source, only files / folders on the first path were shown.  Seems like a bug.

Neither do I, because I ran into issues (the scrape wasn't seen for the second path), I've taken the 'SOLVED' tag off for now and suggest a bug in the mix.

Thanks for taking the time to explore this area.

Going to try to dig into code a little and see if I can get a better understanding of the design.
