Solved webdav https + scrap local info only
#1
Hello,

Sorry for my english....

I would like to install Kodi on a Windows PC at my sister's house, which is done,
but give her access to my movies at home,
so I have to create the paths and permissions on my Synology.
I found the source via webdav https, so far so good....

But when I add the source by putting with local info only
because all the information of the movies
which are each in separate folders with their .nfo and .artwork of all kinds, it does not take.... for the analysis towards the media library...

Thank you very much in advance for any help you can give me...

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

Your log is full of Error 403 ... https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs...Status/403
You will need to check the permissions you have applied.
Sorry, I won't be able to help with this issue. Maybe others will have the knowledge.

Syncing and sharing (wiki) If you're using a local network, I would recommend setting up SMB (wiki). Perhaps Synology has support forums?

Have you checked the application authorization (see picture).

Never used WebDav, but from reading I think the most common problems are certificate issues for https (but I don't think that's what going on here) or the user permissions that the Kodi client is using to authenticate to the synology.  It looks like the synology webdav has a logging option, if not enabled turn that on and then look at the log after the Kodi client tries to access files.  There should by GET entries with more info about what happened.

Hi,

I just came back to say that it was ok,

I found the solution...

I first tested by setting read and write rights for the user, my sister, but it wasn't that...

Then I went to the folder settings and unchecked the "disable download" box in the advanced permissions...

And there you have it, if it can be of use to anyone... Wink

Thanks to those who watched!
