Kodi hasnt worked on my system since 18.9

Okay so this is interesting, using wasapi still caused a video freeze but something different this time did occur, no audio glitch. usually i get a 1 second eternal loop of audio that sounds like a dj bumped his turn table lol. this time no endless audio loop just the video freeze silently. i think i had passthrough enabled though and now ill try wasapi with it disabled. nice to see a different result though maybe we can track this down after all. i will also disable that addon you mentioned and try that also, thank you

Unfortunately Wasapi with passthrough disabled does not work either. i still am getting a video freeze but the audio looping doesn't occur anymore as i stated in my previous reply.. i uploaded another log although im not sure its going to help.. also i cant seem to uninstall that skin variables addon on bc the skin i use needs it. im not sure the skin has anything to do with it though as i have tried to stay on kodi's default skin and this still happens to me. Damn, anybody have a clue? lol

Yea, I have no clue.
Windows 11 + i9-9900 + AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT = great 4k
The only let down is the missing AVR as you seem to be running straight into your HiSense TV.

I query why you are running desktop at 59hz. Can you change to either 50 or 60Hz.

Apart from that, I am out of ideas. Maybe @CrystalP might see the problem.

My very last suggestion is installing a Portable Install, don't add any skins or any other addons. Add your source, play a movie and see if it stalls.

What is AVR? And yeah i noticed that sometimes my tv wants to switch to 59hz for some reason and i have to usually go into windows settings and advanced display to change it to 60, for a while i thought that may be causing it but even after doing that same result. Is it normal for my refresh rate to be constantly moving though or should it show a solid 60hz at all times if my display is set to that? with the debug info i can see its constantly fluctuating. Im going to try disabling steam wallpaper engine and see if that helps, total leap of faith on that one since 18.9 doesnt crash even with that app open. Could a display adapter cause this? I have an hdmi adapter in order to connect 2 different cables, but again 18.9 is fine. Id be tempted to think a hardware failure maybe but other apps would be crashing as well id think. im trying the portable mode with zero add ons installed as we speak, ill let you know what happens.

So portable mode, no add ons installed, and steam wallpaper engine closed. Same thing happened, this time quite quickly lol. I am going to just stay on 18.9 forever i guess, i honestly thought eventually one of the new releases would just work but after matrix, nexus, and omega lol im losing hope on that. I know this probably isnt something i should admit on here but i do run a hackintosh as i am a music producer, and so I have both OS's on my system that i dual boot when needed, and macos runs kodi omega just fine on my system lol. But i only use kodi on windows and so thats not much use.

Are there any other folders aside from the app data folder that kodi stores old build data from?

Not sure if it is related but I know there were Radeon 6400 specific changes here https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/25272 with a note that "(change probably required for all RDNA generations under Windows 10, but no hw to confirm)" might impact the 6900

Thanks for the input, hopefully someone smarter than me or one of kodi's dev's can chime in on that. I should mention that i have a time synchronization app on my pc that runs 247 to keep my date and time correct at all times, bc for some reason my system had an issue with that even though i changed out my mobo's cmos battery several times. I wonder could it have anything to do with that? Does kodi sync the time and date with windows? Idk if that would have a single thing to do with it though, i am only somewhat tech savy

I don't really have an idea, this is strange and feels driver-related.
You could try playing music to see what happens.
The v22 nightlies have a new output type, XAudio2, maybe it would give different results.
There is way too much noise in your logs with that skinvariables script and the seeking for them to be useful.

An overclocked system will eventually be off time, unless you have a routine to Synchronize Clock with the Internet. Your clock is typically automatically updated once a week and needs to be connected to the Internet for the synchronization to occur.

Ill try the nightly build you mentioned with the new output. And in regards to the skin variables thing, i tried kodi in portable mode without that addon installed or any addon whatsoever at that, same exact thing happened. and it still makes zero sense to me why 18.9 is fine but anything after is problematic, wouldnt it be more likely a kodi issue than my system if that is the case? The only odd driver i have installed is one for my audio interface, I have a universal audio interface but i dont even have it turned on when using kodi
