Solved Playback Failed
#1
Hello,

I get the "Playback Failed" pop-up window whenever I try to play a DVD folder. [FYI...I am using the latest Kodi on a 4K Max Firestick]

Has anyone here had that issue?

I would appreciate any helpful solutions and/or advice regarding this issue.

Thank you

I find it hard to believe that not one person has had this issue or has enough technical knowledge to be able to help.

what version correlates to 'latest' in your instance?

edit:
i checked the codename history here https://kodi.wiki/view/Codename_history but it seems Kodi has never used the codename 'latest'

Latest means the latest stable release...Omega v21.1

I updated to the latest nightly build and it seems to have resolved the issue.

I take it you have an external storage set-up, accessing the source file folder?  The link illuminatged in post #3 indicates 'tested master/nightly of 11-04-2024 instead. The issue is solved, *. iso files are playing fine now again!' the fix is in, so give that nightly a try.
