I’m facing an issue with Dolby Vision playback on Kodi (21 Omega stable and nightly builds) on my LG 4K webOS TV, which supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

• Issue: Dolby Vision videos play perfectly in the TV’s native player, but in Kodi, I get audio with a black screen.
  
• Workaround: Disabling Dolby Vision Metadata in Kodi’s player settings fixes the black screen, but this disables Dolby Vision.
  

Is this a known issue, or is there a fix/workaround?

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Hello, i have same problem.  Here is debug log, hope it help. I try latest version of nightly and after i play DV video the screen shutter and i must kill app through setting in TV.
I have LG OLED55B46.

In my Nokia 8010 when I play same video its play ok but I have version 20.5 , because of internet speed. With latest version kodi internet speed is cca 50Mb/s and with version 20.5 is almost speed of my internet cca 300Mb/s (my internet speed is 500Mb/s).

Funny thing is that I noticed that internet speed is not issue with latest version Kodi in tv.

Primary I want use Kodi in my tv but with dolby vision screen issue I must use Nokia 8010.
