Subtitle location "Bottom of video" not working on Kodi 21.1
#1
Hi all,

I recently switched from Kodi Nexus to Kodi Omega. Where in Kodi Nexus my subtitles where nicely placed at the bottom of the video, they are now at a fixed place. It doens't matter if i change it from bottom of video to bottom of screen. I'm testing with .srt subtitles so it's not the burned in or the more complex subtitle formats so based on what i find on internet this should work.

Am i missing something?

I have the same thing here. I have the subtitle position set to "Manual", but the subsequent setting in the Video Calibration is not stored. The subtitle position can be changed via Video Calibration as well as on-the-fly (CTRL+CRSRup/down) during a video, but the subtitle position setting is not stored. At least, I couldn't find something related in the guisettings.xml file. Using Flatpak on Linux here.

I can make minor adjustments to my subtitle location via the "Vertical Margin" setting, but this then they are still fixed. I prefer my subtatiles at the bottom of the video, so if i watch a full screen video they are at the bottom of the screen, and when i watch a video with black bars they are within the video and not within the black bars. This worked in Nexus but unfortunatly has stopped working for me in Omega.
