First some background. I previously was using Kodi 19.4 and had a mysql connection running fine with a pc version as well as one on my Asustor NAS running myHD. Having received a new Shield TV Pro as a gift I decided to drop the Asustor NAS version and continue only with the PC and Shield versions. I side-loaded Kodi 19.4 onto the Shield but had problems with it so I thought this would be a good time to upgrade to Kodi 21.1. I first deleted Kodi 19.4 from my PC, downloaded Kodi 21.1 and set it up very quickly and easily using the appropriate MariaDB steps and the SMB sharing works fine. (The videos are housed on my Asustor NAS.) I next moved to the Shield and side-loaded Kodi 21.1 onto it. Initially of course when I opened Kodi on the Shield I received the notification that there were no movies or tv sources, etc. I then copied my advancedsettings.xml file from the PC along with the sources.xml and mediasources.xml files to the Shield via Kodi's File Manager. When I restarted Kodi on the Shield, the warnings that there were no movies or tv sources disappeared, but also there were no movies or tv shows there - just a blank area instead - the library was thus empty. If I remove the advancedsettings.xml file then when Kodi opens it goes back to the warning about no movies, or tv shows, etc. I am attaching the Kodi log and notice there are error messages associated with the mysql activity (starting about line 1746), but don't know how to address those issues myself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ken.
