Hi,

first of all, sorry if my english is not perfect.

It's a basic question about the way of using XBMC. I hope this is the right section of the forum.

I saw a demo video of xbmc on youtube, then i directly installed it on my PC as i found this software would be perfect to handle my movie collection.

The thing is in the demo video the guy is in the library mode,in the video section, then he show the movie information, then he is able to find other movies with the same actor (as an exemple ... ) just by clicking on it.

In the versoin of XBMC i installed, there is no way to do that.

Does my XBMC work properly ? Is it just not implemented right now ? Is it a XBMC script ?

Your movies are added to the library, once you set the content of a folder from "none" to something else. (Movies or Shows)

Be sure to rename your movies appropriatly first (NAME (DATE), i.e. Best Film Ev4r (2008)) so the scraper would find the right movies by default. If a movie is indentified wrong, you can remove it from the library in the Library view of XBMC (again using c to pop up the context menu), rename it, and rescan the folder.

Thks for your help but i allready did that

My library is setup, but now i would like to be able to click on the information in the "movie information" panel.

For exemple, click "genre" or "2005" ect to find movies in my librairy with the same parameter.

Not possible in file mode, switch to library mode to do that.
