Fanart.jpg issue??

there are some tv shows on my xbmc system that did not have fanart so i got a picture and put it in the tv show folder and named it fanart.jpg but when i add the show to the library it doesnt show the fanart, am i doing something wrong? If this has been discussed before please point me in the right direction. Thank You

no, you aren't, unless of course, the file fanart.jpg already has an extension that is hidden because explorer hides extensions, (if you use windows).

hey thanks for the response apparently u have to click on the show in library mode play a file then when you go back to the list of tvshows it displays the custom fanart. i guess its a bug in the system??

Not entirely true. I have my system set to show all extensions and hidden folders and system filesSmile

I think what he meant was, if the extensions are hidden, then he possible could have had the filed named 'fanart.jpg.jpg', w/ the second .jpg being hidden. Then it would not be picked up.

But it sounds like he was just not giving XBMC a chance to refresh the fanart data.

I think your right but i now have another issue now Eeki have to keep adding music file poster again on each of my machines.
I have a networked hd and all my music is on there and so is the artwork(posters) but XBMC Is not picking it up any idea why. cause before it used to automatically get the poster for an album and show it in library mode
