Acer Revo + XBMC - few questions
#1
I did search and read I think most of the posts about Revo and XBMC. Unfortunately, I either missed some or couldn't find answers to some of the questions I have. Revo would be an upgrade to my old but still working modded Xbox for use mainly to play movies, music and display photos. So here are the questions:

1. I know it is possible to boot Revo directly to XBMC. Now if I stick 500GB hard drive in it that's full of movies and music, would I be able to access the drive to play its content like I can with Xbox? I do not want to stream content from another machine so Revo would have to be all-in-one solution.

2. Is it possible to get Harmony remote working with XBMC on Revo?

3. Occasionally, I would like to play a game. I can get Windows 7 installed and put games from CD onto the internal hard drive. What hardware would I need to have similar controller as the Xbox has.

Thanks.

1) Linux can read files off hard disks just like you'd expect.

2) Yes.

3) An Xbox 360 controller for Windows kit from Microsoft is the most obvious choice, but there are many different joysticks on the market.

Thanks for reply. Now lets say I will go with Windows 7, would I be able to play movies stored on the hard drive or it works only under Linux?
