NUU Player - Another NVIDIA ION set-top-box running Boxee

All I really want is:
some type of simple dedicated hardware, (quiet to silent) that will run XBMC and can play full bitstream (via wired ethernet) 1080p HD mkv's. Ethernet in, component and or HDMI, stereo and/or optical out. Simple remote. That's it.

It would appear because the NUU box has internal storage it would have more options for modification and hacking. Did anyone find out what type of (if any) hardware acceleration or GPU the NUU box had, or was it all running form the Atom? Is it known if the NUU box can use a CrystalHD card from Broadcom?

Currently I'm using a Mac Mini which is perfect except for one thing, I can only get hardware acceleration if I install linux and I don't want to completely change (or reboot) OS's every time I want to use XBMC.

Blackstar,
I agree with you about Boxee. I am definitely an XBMC man when it comes down to it. I think that the possibilities of a small device like the tegra2 are exciting though. Ultimately anything Tegra2 is not going to work for me though as it can't play back straight Blu-ray rips.
To answer your question about the hardware of the NUU's hardware it is running on an ION setup with a dual core N330 Intel Atom processor.
