i play a big (700mb) movie file from a smb share on my pc, and here's the networking graph:



any reason why it takes approx. 5x5secs = 25 secs after the initial caching to start to play my file ?

using 25-12-2003 cvs build.

its a known issue of the current implementation of libsmb++ in xbmc. but i promise this will change soon.

same happens using xns (relax) apparently:



not any delay in the 2003-12-11 build, both with smb and xns.
