Hi all,
New XBMC user here and lovin' it.
I have a question with regards to the thumbs and fanart. These are located in the userdata folders however I'm not sure how XBMC goes about creating a name for them and now its associated in the music database. If I were to batch download many arts and thumbs do I need to add them manually to the database, or is there an easier way by just placing the files into a directory and voila. I'm guessing that I need to do this manually, or I need to do this via a media manager so that the XBMC knows where to look to find the pics.
I also read a threat that talked about managing your music library as:
\Artist1\
\Artist1\AlbumA\
\Artist1\AlbumB\
\Artist1\AlbumC\
\Artist1\folder.jpg
\Artist1\fanart.jpg
I do have my library organized as such, does this mean that XBMC will suck in folder.jpg as the thumbnail for that artist and fanart.jpg as the fanart for that artist. If that's the case this would probably work quite well for me. I wouldn't need to create the XBMC on each of my clients as each client would rebuild the pics directly from my storage folders.
Thanks ahead of time,
Belg
