I realized that in Windows 7 you get a nice option when you right click a media file: Send to -> XBMC renderer and it plays on the installation XBMC.

Since we use XBMC at our office (media production) we would love to find a similar option for Linux and OSX also (a separate client is ok, dosn't need to be intregrated).

I have tried to google upnp client software but all of them just plays FROM xbmc.. not TO like Windows 7 media player.

Hi, I've been trying to use the feature but it won'rk on mkvs. Regarding your problem, you need to activate the feature in XMBC Go to System>Network and make sure "Share video and music libraries through UPnP and also Allow control of XMBC via UPnP are turned on. Oh, and make xmbc seach your computer for files and they should be in your WMP library now.
