This was the wrong way of doing things, so I deleted the "spam". Because I now know the right way, and posted that. :)

Now it also fails when I turned the centralized button off, I have not touched anything but turning it on and then off. Ill try a reinstall maybe something gets left behind.

The problem is not the centralized option. It's the imagelist for the first movie returned by themoviedb. Something is wrong there. Maybe a fault of the site.
I cannot check whats wrong at the moment because i'm at work. Maybe paddy can check if he has time or else i'll check when I get home.

Its really really wierd I tried uninstalling, made sure all the dirs and files were gone to, and now the plugin just does not work at all.. Heh. What could I have missed? Do you have a direct link to the plug in because i deleted the downloaded zip just to be sure that it downloaded it again. But I think the one i deleted was bigger than the one downloded now. how big is the zip supposed to be?
Wish I never had turned the centralized download on, also because I was so stupid deleting the extrafanart from the usb drive first. ;(

EDIT: Now Its working sporaticly with tv-shows, I did not do anything but run the plugin again so maybe its TVDB and TMDB that has problems?
EDIT EDIT: Turned off the limiter it was set to 20 pictures and 5 in rating, And now it mysteriously work with tv-shows, I suggest you fiddle around with those settings, limiter and centralized download to see if you can provoke the error. Or maybe its simply the above edit that causes it, but shouldnt you be able to se that from the debug log?

Here you can download the offical released versions for the xbmc-repo.

There is a newer version(0.2.1) however is still in development so no guarantees.
Maybe some connection problem or problems with the sites.

We could see that from the full debug logs (hopefully). Could you provided us several of these so we may try to prevent these errors in future?

I also had the same idea, to use centralized extrafanart on my SSD, instead of in the media folders which are on a NAS.

The script put the extrafanart in the centralized folder just fine, but it also put them in the individual media folders.

So how do I know which location the skin is using? (I'm using night SVN, btw).

Great script! It was working great until I added the movie: 3:10 to Yuma. It seems like this movie always causes the script to crash. I posted my debug log here. The error is within lines 230 to 293. Thank you for looking at this!

Skins are only able to read extrafanart from the media folders, they unfortunately can't read from a centralised directory yet. The central directory support is only really useful if you want to display a backdrop slideshow on your home menu or something similar.

Just pushed a fix to git. TMDB did a lot of reorganising of their images and it broke the function which generated the filenames for us.

For the people who are having problem could please try this and see if they have any issues.
If all is fixed these will be added to offical XBMC-repo.

A small extra:
The new version also feature the abilities for downloading extrathumbs for movie.
(extraction of extrathumbs from the actual video files is not yet possible)
