WMC as the backend - released
kr - I don't know if this is just an issue I'm having or if it's widespread. I noticed it a couple builds ago but figured it was just me. In an attempt to correct, I downloaded 1014 directly from your gdrive and copied the xml's to the Confluence folder (replacing what was there) and I still have what you see below:

I'm working on getting the recording section of the wiki straightened out and need some screenshots. Figured it was time to fix it. LOL
The XBMC team, plug-in devs, skinners, etc. do this for us for FREE in their spare time because they want to. Think about that for a second before you start bitching...

And the problem is?

lol, I have not seen that before. How do you get past it? just close an open again? Have you noticed if it only happens on remote clients? A 'couple of builds ago' means server builds, right?

Next time it happens, save the server log and the xbmc log and give me the links.

There are some changes that have been made to help facilitate automatic updates in the future. In order to update through the repository, you must first uninstall your current version and then reinstall it through the repository. This will be the only time this extra step will be necessary. Otherwise XBMC will think they are two separate addons and you will end up with duplicate addons that may cause conflicts.

Please report back any problems with the repositories so that they may be corrected!

This is great Immortal. Automatic updates is big leap forward for us.

Sorry kr. That was really vague.

This is the series recording dialog which I accessed by highlighting a show (though not a very good one), pressing info, selecting add timer, yes on the record dialog and then this box is displayed. Didn't these boxes used to be populated with something to the effect of record episode or record series? I don't remember the exact wording but I know they weren't blank like they are now. By a couple of builds ago, (I think) I am referring to the client. This is on a client machine. I believe this happened right around the time copying the files from /resources was no longer necessary. You can get past it by simply selecting OK, but I don't know what I am saying OK too. lol

I just tested on a linux client and I get the same thing. I am surprised nobody has complained about this until now. Let me see whats up.

Techlife,

So I had this problem on two linux machines (non of my windows clients though). Both had pvr.wmc installed from Immortal's first cut of the repo when we were testing. I blew those install directories away and did a fresh install from his repo (that he updated today) and now the dialogs are working fine. Please try that when you have time. I know that is no explanation, but my brain is requesting a shutdown. If the problem persists let me know.

lol. Cool man. I'll give it a whirl. Get some down time.

Update: I deleted everything related to pvr.wmc and the TheImmortal repo. Installed the repo, downloaded pvr.wmc and had the same results. For giggles, I repeated the manual delete again and just downloaded and manually installed from your gdrive. Issue resolved.

I've had a feeling there was an issue with the Frodo repo for a couple days now. First, the Frodo repo is a do-it-yourself kit meaning there is no zip to install like there is on Gotham. You have to download the individual files and zip them up as an add-on and install. (Or you can do it completely manually). I'm also not convinced the install from the repo is working correctly. If nothing more, because of the results above. I'll look into it more in the next couple days. @TheImmortal, If you read this and could take a look at the Frodo side of the repo just to double check, that would be great too!

Even though I am in California, I am in solidarity with you my European brothers. We need to get an update on this.

Too right Krusty! Shoulder to shoulder brother Smile
Gotham Repo is reporting Clients for RPI broken due to unmet dependencies. I'm on Chris Swan's RPI dev build from Nov 10. Is there a build that will work with the latest Dev builds for OpenElec on the Pi?
@DaPooch - The xbmc-pvr-addons bumped their API to version 1.9.0 on the 8th, however OpenELEC didn't merge the commits until the 11th (see commit here). Chances are Chris Swan's build doesn't have the correct API version. I would recommend trying out MilhouseVH's builds, they are very well done and his latest is current as of the 18th. See this post for more information: MilhouseVH OpenELEC Testbuild. If you are still experiencing difficulties let me know.

@TechLife - I am checking out the repo now and nothing "appears" to be wrong. The Linux builds in the repo are the same as on KR's gdrive so both downloads should be identical (with a possible difference the addon.xml file that wouldn't affect the usage). I sent you a pm if you can check it out and respond I can hopefully figure out what is going on.
Thx Immortal... I managed to load up Milhouse's Testbuild but now the UI doesn't fit in my display quite right. I think it's an option with this build I may be missing it only occupies the top left 3/4 of the screen. I think the upscaling to 1080p may be disabled in this build. In addition the addons in the immortal gotham repo still report broken due to unmet dependancies. The specific build is v13-Alpha10 Git:aa4ca63 (Compiled Nov 18 2013)

Side note, do you know if Millhouse VH has a repo that's compatible with OpenELEC-dev-update?

Not sure about OpenELEC-dev-update, you would need to direct that question to the other thread. If you can, ssh into OpenELEC and rename your guisettings.xml to guisettings.xml.orig, then reboot the system. This will reset the settings to defaults. If that doesn't correct it, go ahead and copy the guisettings back. The other thing to try is to check the Video Calibration options.

When you go into addons, what version is it showing? (ie. 0.2.91)

Thanks, I'll try the guisettings reset.

Yes Reporting version 0.2.91 in repo
When I try to play a *.wtv in the recorded section I only get the audio visualizer. I am running 11/18 rasmbc nightly with newclock3 mods with the 0.2.91 addon.

I have both licenses correctly installed, e.g. vcgencmd codec_enabled MPG2 comesback enabled and same for wvc1.

Any ideas?

Is this only happening when trying to play back a recorded video or does it behave the same with live tv?
