@bossanova808,
He, he - I stand corrected
However, I didn't have that port in mind, but rather the default port used by the Chorus Web (9090) which conflicts with the CLI port on Logitech Media Server (typically hard coded in may plugins).
But luckily it can be changed in Chorus 2.
Anyway, thanks for the info.

@oyvindo - port is changeable in LMS and also in XSqueeze settings, not hardcoded.

I know, but I depend on some LMS plugins that has 9090 hardcoded, so changing it in LMS causes the plugin to stop.
For that reason, 9090 is on top of my port priority list and cannot be changed.....

Dear,
I want to use LMS as a Multiroom output for KODI.
If a play a DVD on KODI then I want to transmit the sound to LMS.
All players are synchronized.
So, if KODI send the DVD sound to XQueeze, then it will be transmitted on all other players I have (Picoreplayer=Rpi+SqueezeSlave) in other rooms.
So, in others words, is it possible to transmit the sound of KODI to Xqueeze?
It's not very clear for me if :
1) Xsqueeze is player which will play music (playing LMS music library) and be synchronized with other players.
2) Xsqueeze can receive sound form KODI and KODI will be a supplementary source for LMS
Thanks for your clarification
Bets Regards

1. Yes
2. No.
XSqueeze cannot receive sound from an arbitrary source. XSqueeze can only play back data streams from an LMS server. It is using a propriatry protocol to achieve this.
You cannot redirect Kodi output to either XSqueeze or LMS.
To achieve what you want, you should use LMS as your media server for films ripped from DVD and stream them from LMS. (I'm not sure if LMS can stream from a physical DVD driectly)

Running Kodi on my FTV, with a NAS being my LMS. XSqueeze installed fine, but bombing out on launch from a shortcut. Anyone have any ideas what the permission denied errors are or how to fix?

Read this - Android platforms are not supported in the normal way, but there's an easy workaround:

I want to xsqueeze run under liberelec 7.0.1 with intel nuc.
installed the plugin and launch without any error, top
Sound is to be handed over to HDMI with my Denon X1000.
Squeezelite and squeezeslave function on the console, with Kodi service stop, fine.
Squeezelite with Hdmi device as option, the plugin will not boot
Squeezeslave, on the console, list the hdmi output as -o7, the plugin is missing this selection. Manually enter the -o7 has effect, no sound.
Is it libreelec or what I can test yet?

@newan
Have you checked the basics - that kodi isn't hogging the audio device? I.e. turned off gui sounds at all times, told kodi not to keep the audio device open at all?

@newan - just to confirm I tried jsut now libreelec on a Nuc with a denon receiver. The HDMI output was listed at the bottom of all the rest for some reason, but once selected and making sure 'keep audio device alive' was off, XSqeeze started just fine.
I'm pretty sure it will be your audio settings causing kodi to hog the audio device...

Hello,
I've been trying all day to get xsqueeze working on a (newly installed) RPi2 with Libreelec version 7.0.1
Audio is via HDMI connected to a Denon amp (passtrough enabled)
The LMS is working (running on another Pi 1B)
It's just that i keep getting the Couldn't connect to player error (i want to use the Pi2 with Libreelec as a local player.
I did read the wiki and did this:
I have included the log here:

The dummy MAC adress, can i just enter anything i want as long as it's 00:00:00:00:00:00 ?
Thanks in advance,
Linus

@newan - hmm, hard for me to help here give I have tried near identical hardware/software and it works fine - I'm thinking it has to be your settings blocking that device somehow. Especially if both are not launching. I own 3 nucs, and two denons, so it's a setup I know well!
@MovingDots - I am not 100% sure the wiki is up to date for the raspberry pi - as in, it may be libreelec loads the module etc already. I haven't got a Pi currently set up I am afraid. Maybe ask over there in there forums and let me know so I can update the wiki!

@bossanova808
Clear I believe also runs and I have forgot something in my settings, I just do not find what :-(
Is there only the one option in Kodi to block the HDMI device or if there is more?
Runs your NUCs with OpenELEC / Libreelec or which OS do you use?
