You don't. Too many people asked for custom items in the sidebar. Because of technical limitations it was already a pita to achieve this.

hey sualfred, your skin still great with small tivi (43") in my living room (distance from sofa to tv is about 2.5m)

Hi,
I have just recently found out about emby and I really like the embuary skin for kodi. However, I wanted to use custom icons for the main menu but somehow this isn't working for collections and music. I can see my selected custom icons in the settings menu but they don't show up on the main screen. Any hints?

I love the skin. Switched over to it after almost a decade on Aon Nox (and mods).
One thing missing for me though is TV Show Next Aired integration in the tvshows screen like Aeon Nox Silvo does.
In the "Slide" layout there is a "Last updated:" line. It would be tremendous if you could add a second line to it with next aired / returning / cancelled / ended info like Aeon Nox Silvo does in the low list mode.
I'd be willing to help sponsor development on that. It's a dealbreaker for me, so I'd be greatful if this could be added!

returning/canceled is shown if available in the database. A real time monitor won't be added because of speed penalties.

The info is available in my database (as it is shown by Nox Silvo), but isn't shown by Embuary. At least not in the TV Shows layouts..
Also there is imho no need for a realtime monitor. It would suffice to either fetch the info of the next aired episode when the tvshownextaired plugin updates or at startup..?

It is a real time monitor that is monitoring the focused item. This is expenisve and not instantly.

And the addon is unmaintained since years. If noone will take care of it to get it Python3 ready I will drop it anyway.

Is it possible to have the Next Aired displayed as a Widget in the main menu area? I have checked over and over and I can't seem to find that option. I would just prefer if I can see what's airing next instead of having to click on All TV Shows, then scrolling across to Next Aired. scrolling to the button and then having to click on it.

He just said he is going to drop it completely.. Not sure if trying to talk to him is actually going to achieve something. It's not even possible to discuss a feature without getting slightly hostile when you offer to pay for development..
