I thinks that his you post with the developemnet of skin which is exactly alike in the slin of phyek

Phyek used an early build of Xperience that he had when he was doing the Graphics for Xperience, but he wanted 1080 and the rest of the team never as we had no way of testing at that time (resolutions was to big for us ) so he an Minimalko went there own way and started a modded Xperience (converted it 1080).

That's all Surface was and is, they stopped development as Xperience was further on and they lost interest i guess.

Surface is a mod for an early build of Xperience most of which i coded.

A lot of people think they started Surface from scratch to compete with Xperience they never.

Now no more Surface requests please....

the early version is not nearly as good as it is now in anycase so why would he even ask for it? But you will always get the odd idiot asking for things like that.

Currently no, for a while i have been busy with real life, currently I'm fixing up Containment for Xbox as this is what system i use and will continue to do so .

Xperience is done in my eyes I'm not one for this new addon thing but then again i could just spend 20 mins fixing it up but cant be arsed the now sorry.

If any one wants to take the job of making one then go ahead if its good (just use the dialogs) will be added to the SVN.

I'm closing this. It doesn't take a genius to see that surface and xperience are two completely different entities.

I already see refocus skin and the splash that you told me, and let me tell you I'm not impressed but I'll see what i can do,is not difficult to add to xperience cause that is just an animation like ellipsis has too, but I'll try to make something with the splash images of xperience or something that goes according to xperience

O like the way the screen changes depending on the time of day it gives it a more personall feel to the skin, sadly i vould not code to save my life otherwise i would add it myself, look forward to seeing what you can come up with.

I wanted to thank you for this MOD... well done. Also, i was curious if the Games panel can have other views such as Poster View... My current view is as follow:



However, i'd like to see it like the setup bellow... well, not exactly but just poster view:



I've been doing some reading on the wiki and have tried to modify the games panel xml as it appears to be taken from the Poster_View xml, but have not had much luck; at one point or another, the panel view disappears and the i'm left w/ just the file view.

If anyone can point me towards the right direction, i'd greatly appreciated.

Nice mod yzack, i like the way you've integrate this function to Xperience.

To detractors : you're allow to put any animation that you like, a short one or a long one, it's up to you. You also probably can stop the video before it's end to access the main screen rapidly if you need a faster access from time to time. So, i don't see what the problem is...

Personally, i will be glad to install that mod on my system, and i'm looking forward for a download link.

That's what I'm trying to say, you can put a video of one second if you like or one that last one hour it's up to you guys or if you don't want to put a video you can put a music playlist.

It's working great, thanks Yzack!

I only have a small problem with your mod : I can't see the labels of the added lines under the "advanced" menu. The radio buttons are here, and i can choose the path to my video or playlist, but the lines don't show any font (no "Set Video" label for example).

Maybe some visual improvements can be made for the miniplayer :

- Centered on the screen (it's a little bit to much on the right side)

- Bigger fonts since the size of this miniplayer as almost doubled with the cdart insertion. We can use this extra space for better artist and title visibility.

- Put the title below the artist name, again to use the extra space

ex :
MUSE (bigger font size)
The Small Print (a bit smaller than the font size used for ARTIST)

- Bigger light grey background

- remaining time less stick at the edge of that light grey background


of course it's just some suggestions, and i'm glad you've made that mod.
