Just an update, now i receive images but not the good one, i receive Background image in place of poster.

I receive only one image for each movie, when i want to choose i do not have choice.

No background image in background. Just a background in place of poster, like in this screenshot.

Is this problem affecting both the themoviedb movie scrapers: the old (metadata.themoviedb.org-5.2.6) and the new (metadata.themoviedb.org.python-1.3.3)?
Is the solution as simple as using the python one? I am still using the "metadata.themoviedb.org-5.2.6" on kodi 18.9 (osmc).

zer0ner0, i have no idea, have you test it ? How can i install manually an addon ?

Btw, Travis Bell on TMDB said that he do not see any issue, https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/60de0392...0074955f5d

But i think he is testing with TV Show, not with Movies and the issue is with Movies, not TV Shows (I have not tested, i do not want to remove a TV Show and not being able to scrape it back).

i'm using 5.2.6 on kodi 18.9 (nvidia shield) and i have the same issue with movie posters/art

kodi library just shows a random movie screencap instead of the movie art from TMDB

How can i know wich version of tmdb scraper i'm using ? It will ne intersting to know if it's an update of the addon that introduces the bug.

not sure how you're running kodi, but you'll have to go to My Addons -> Information Scrapers (Providers?) -> Trigger the context menu on "The Movie Database" and it should show the version

I want to update TMDB so I can see movie posters again but that keeps on failing. Does anybody know why? I'm using Kodi on an Xbox One.

Can we download a Zip file somewhere so we can install from zip? That always seems to sole Kodi problems.

[edit] Consulted the "read first topic" https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=336969 . Dunno if it really was the problem but I went to "System > Add ons" to activate the so called 'Lefthand sidebar menu'. I chose "Check for updates" and all of a sudden the TMDB update worked. Huh

Updated via: "System > Add ons > Information providers > Movie information > The movie database > Update"

P.S. Is is normal that TMDB does not provide TV Show information? Only the XEM plugin works for me for that. [edit] Bloody hell. Had to install a separate plugin for that, ha ha.

yea i've been looking for a github link to download the latest zip but i dont think there is one

all i found is this: https://kodi.tv/addons/matrix/metadata.themoviedb.org, which is already in the repo

i guess you could try to use universal scraper until this one is fixed? i think that one has been fixed

Thanks for the tip. That one uses the TMDB plugin to get its info (don't know why its named differently from the IMDB and TMDB). Somehow I managed to to get it updated.
