Currently using Avalon, but will switch to Titan if it gets live TV support! (Or stick with Avalon if it gets it too!)

Yes, As Charlie0440 pointed out, you can switch channel groups a few different ways.
I am, however, having a difficult time getting the Channel Group label to work correctly. I have tried ListItem.ChannelGroup and VideoPlayer.ChannelGroup with no success. ListItem.ChannelGroup should show the channel group for which the selected channel (on the listing screen) belongs, whereas VideoPlayer.ChannelGroup should show the channel group for which the currently tuned channel belongs. Neither returns values...
I will continue to work on it as it would be nice to see the currently selected Channel Group on the listing screen (and on the mini-menu.)

We need to work out where the Group Title shown in the full screen OSD comes from. Opdenkamp or Fernetmenta may be your best bet
