[WIP] Titan
Currently using Avalon, but will switch to Titan if it gets live TV support! (Or stick with Avalon if it gets it too!)

Of course! Also planned.

This looks awesome. Would adding the Channel groups in between the info box and channel list be possible? For example how Sky does it:

Not sure if your asking are they possible for a skin or possible for XBMC. I have not seen them in a skin yet so they may not be but XBMC definately supports channel groups.

They work like this. If you have defined channel groups on your backend, then you have 2 options to cycle through the groups
  • Press enter on the TV channels from the View Options pop out window (its annoying it doesn't show the group name)
  • Press left or right when in full screen live TV (this displays the title of the channel groups and allows you to move to other groups)

By doing either of these it will change the list of TV channels & the list of channels in the EPG window to only show the channels in that channel group. You can see this by looking at some of these screenshots, notice how some have a scroll bar and some don't

Here are some screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/kX97q

Edit: I don't know how many people use groups, so if they are possible maybe making them optional would be cool.

@reazorFX,
Yes, As Charlie0440 pointed out, you can switch channel groups a few different ways.

I am, however, having a difficult time getting the Channel Group label to work correctly. I have tried ListItem.ChannelGroup and VideoPlayer.ChannelGroup with no success. ListItem.ChannelGroup should show the channel group for which the selected channel (on the listing screen) belongs, whereas VideoPlayer.ChannelGroup should show the channel group for which the currently tuned channel belongs. Neither returns values... Sad

I will continue to work on it as it would be nice to see the currently selected Channel Group on the listing screen (and on the mini-menu.)

Can't help you here. but not sure how VideoPlayer.ChannelGroup would work as every channels belong to the "All" group as well as another defined group.

We need to work out where the Group Title shown in the full screen OSD comes from. Opdenkamp or Fernetmenta may be your best bet

IF channel groups could be implemented in a similar manner to the Sky UK HD box that would be fantastic! They're quite simple to use in that setup, unfortunately I've removed them from my setup and just use ALL Channels as it's easier!

Whats weird is it works great on the mini guide (see image below.) But this menu is only available when a video is playing, hence the need for the ListItem.ChannelGroup.

ListItem.ChannelGroup should work on listings (see image below), with no video playing.

Thanks for the info though... Smile
