I have no idea how i managed this and would like to remove them.

In the skin settings you can customize "global widget wall" or "movies hub" it depends.
 

Is there a way to remove these items so only unwatched items appear ?

Skin Settings > Library > Manage watched indicators

What about how to remove duplicate movies in specific rows? Kinda new to the skin and Kodi too.

Found out something cool that took me a month to find, not sure if more people found this. so sharing here:

I have setup (main) menu items with each a header widget, and a couple of submenu's.
So when I press 'up' on a menu item, I can see the submenu's. When I enter a menu item, I can go to the designated action.
This is fast, but when my family navigate, they don't realize that there are more options!

I found out that there exists a Open Submenu (Action >> Common >> Open Submenu), but this actually does the same as an 'up' would do. It's neat!

Perhaps one day, the 'Open Submenu' can also open a couple of rows with widgets for submenu's?

The question is, is it possible that when the video is displayed, after pressing the remote control it will immediately stop, and the next pressing starts playback. Something similar to Netflix.

Something is wrong after the new update.
In the bar above, for example, I have Film and Series.
When I go down to widget in movies I can normally go back to the navi bar but that doesn't work with Series.

Hey, maybe log file or something? Hard to say what could be wrong. People not reporting any problems with update.

yes if I go to the widgets for movies I can go back to the navigation bar.
if I do that with Series then I get stuck in the widgets and I can't go back to the navigation bar.
