WIP Arctic Horizon
(2021-04-10, 12:37)louisefindlay23 Wrote: Could there possibly be a shortcut in Skin Settings possibly Interface to change the color theme (default, dark plus two high contrast themes)? I never noticed it til now since it was in Kodi's Interface Settings.

Love the high contrast default theme. Makes it much easier to read the unselected widget text.
Unfortunately not - that dialog is inbuilt in Kodi and Kodi doesn't expose any way for the skinning engine to call it, so the only place it can be opened is where it is by default in interface settings
Arctic Fuse 2 - Alpha now available. Support me on Ko-fi.

There's a section in skin settings to change colours. There isn't a specific toggle for setting the default colours but you can choose them from the palette.

I'm facing a small bug with Arctic Horizon. Basically, the resume function doesn't work. Instead, the movie restarts from the beginning. Resume works fine with with the default Kodi skin though. Any ideas?

In case it matters, I use Kodi 19 as a frontend for my Jellyfin server with the help of the Kodi for Jellyfin addon.

EDIT: nevermind - the issue disappeared by itself when I switched back the skin. Not sure what happened.

Hi guys. Does anyone happen to know how to remove TMDB helper from Kodi on a Shield TV Pro? It's a fresh install, but I installed a different skin before this one and it downloaded the wrong version of TMDB helper. I now have both versions installed but am not able to get MC or RT ratings (I have the OMDB api key added), so I'm assuming the versions are interfering with each other. Thanks

Which other skin? You can't have two versions of the same addon installed, as they would share a unique id. Can you post a screenshot of where you think this is happening?

Thanks for the reply. The other skin is Arctic Zephyr Reloaded. There is one add-on called The Movie Database and another called The Movie Database Python. It's completely possible that my guess as to why the MC/RT ratings aren't working is wrong.

I set up everything per the instructions here. I also enabled the MC/RT in the Furniture skin flag settings.

Those two addons are library scrapers and not related to TMDB Helper, so you can just ignore them. You should see TMDB Helper under Program addons, this is where you would enter the OMDB Key. If you've done this and it still doesn't work you might want to check AZR skin & see if they work in that skin (they should do). I don't even know if MC/RT are working with AH in Matrix at this point, maybe someone else could confirm.

Thanks. I clearly messed up a step along the way. I have the MC/RT ratings working on my PC with both the AZ and AH skins, but with this new Shield Pro install, I just can't get them to show. Weird.

You could try deleting (or temp renaming) Kodi\userdata\addon_data\script.module.simplecache\simplecache.db. I can't think of any reason why it's not working other than maybe a caching issue.

That did the trick. Thanks again.

I know this is off topic, but just as an FYI, with the release of Kodi 19, there are new Python based movie (The Movie Database Python) and TV (TMDb TV Shows) scrapers that are the defaults. The older XML based scrapers are installed as well (and will continue to be used if you were using them in Leia and upgrade), but they are depreciated and will likely be removed with Kodi 20.

Just installed Arctic Horizon on my OSMC vero (kodi 18.9). I managed to add favourites to the home menu, however can't seem to find a way/widget to display the favourites directly on the home screen?

Using Leia - extrafanart

The only way I can make it work is by changing the settings on script artwork helper selecting grab extrafanart. I also have artwork beef installed, and every movie folder has its own extrafanart folder with files named extrafanart0, extrafanart1, etc.

Is this the correct way to do it?

First of all, thank you! the skin is just perfect, really loved the simplicity.
second, there is any option to change the font to support hebrew? (ariel font usually works) or any other method? it will be well appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm getting an error when trying to install the skin on Kodi Matrix (OSMC):
