It might be worth doing so now as Kodi 14 Helix is out, which should mean an end this feature freeze.

I would suggesting re-opening and bumping pull request #4824 or creating a new pull request now.

Another request would to be to also add TheTVDB (and TheMovieDB) id tag numbers for TV Shows

As yes it is nice to have IMDb number but for TV Series Seasons and Episodes then not so good.

Here you can enter any number from your epg.xml,
this depends on your PVR backend,Kodi will write any number (IMDB,themoviedb.com,TheTVDB.com...).
My idea was that tag have name"showID" but code tags for kodi must be unified...

I try with Phill65 script and there is number of themoviedb.com,working wery fast.
Skiners must do the job and set condition in skin which number is for movie and which is for TVShow...

This is how my EPG look

watch gallery

I add in data base EPG
-OrigName (Original name of movies or episode for non english user)
-Actor
-Director
-Writer
-IconEPG
-Year

All of This infos I have in EPG.xml (downloaded with webgrab.exe),I also integrate script.metadata.actors in DialogPVRGuideInfo.xml.
Plan to intergrate more scripts for movies and episode,to show more info about EPG label.

Why IMO has minor priority for Kodi stuff !!!
