v17 winzip ?
#16
I was doing a full backup using the USB SDCARD WIZARD which automatically saves the zip (and then I used the same program to retreive it on the other device)
I also tried the standard BACKUP program, again using the same on the other device to retrieve it, and also Gentec Maintenance again same result.
Sorry for the caps, thats the way they are each spelled.
Anyhow, these program addons automatically zip them (so Im not sure what program each one uses) or if its a standard that Kodi uses.
I guess that was my question, since it happened on all 3 addons Im assuming its a Kodi standard.
Ive researched each addon and have not found anything reliable (many different peoples opinions of each program)
Regardless, for some reason none are going through correctly.
It was very frustrating to say the least.
Finally what I did was on the one I was transferring TO I deleted the Kodi hidden file
and used ES File Explorer and copied the hidden Kodi file from one I was copying FROM and put that on an SD card then put the SDcard into the one I was putting it on and just replaced the deleted hidden Kodi file there.
Rebooted and viola!
Now both boxes have the exact same contents, addons, repos, sources, skin, version, etc.
The only buggar was updating each
addon one by one.
But they are done, thank goodness.
I appreciate your response.

Oh, In order to do that I had to in ES File Explorer and in BOTH boxes in Kodi enable View Hidden Files and Folders (or Directories)
I failed to do that in Kodi and failed miserably.
Then it dawned on me that Kodi needed that to be checked also, not just in ES File Explorer.
Thats in System, Media, General.
But you need to be in Expert mode at the bottom or you dont see those options.
Im certain you know all this, but for the average Joe it comes in handy to know..
