In other words, I can import library from Kodi and then modify it using Ember? I always thought Ember had to scrape the data and then Kodi would import it using local nfo only scraping.

No, you have to scrape them indeed, but if the movies are already scraped in Kodi, you can export them from Kodi to individual nfo files which Ember will use when scraping.

I see TheMovieDB is going to have a  "universe" feature in the future. Maybe this is what I am looking for. Hopefully Kodi can add it when it comes out.
