@n8mills i suspect something is up with python 3.10+kodi but i have absolutely 0 empirical evidence, its only a suspicion and i cant investigate it because im on debian 11 w/python 3.9
just wanted you to know someone else was looking at it but i have nothing constructive

Uninstall/reinstall didn't solve it.

Downloaded a different scraper after Kodi reinstall, the other scraper is working.  Something is up with the default scraper.
