Sling tv now works in omega. This was fixed in inputstream adaptive 21.4.5

I don't use the VOD at all so not really high on my priority list. Can you give me an example of how you use it? Do you use the DVR feature or do you just look up shows?

Just use it for the on demand content.....

I am using the other Kodi Sling TV add on but would switch to this one if I could access the DVR recordings.

Since my upgrade to Omega. After switching to a channel, Sling will play the current program but when the program is over, the channel stops playing and reverts back to the menu.
This is happening to both Sling apps. Is this happening to others?

I'm still on Matrix but I've had it happen to me from time to time. I'll start to watch something but then notice that it's at the beginning of the show I was looking to watch even though it should be 10 minutes in. When it finishes, it stops and goes back to the main menu. It doesn't happen often but I have seen it happen.

My thought is that sometimes it delivers what you were looking to watch as On Demand content. So instead of a continuous stream of the channel, it delivers the episode which has a start time and end time.

This actually for every sling channel after Omega upgrade. At some point in the past something similar was happening and matthuisman determined it to be a inputstream- adaptive issue. Knowing inputstream-adaptive went through a lot of changes for omega, I was wondering if it could be an issue there but I have know idea how to troubleshoot. If it is just me having an issue then, I will keep playing with settings to see what I have wrong.

Hi Folks;

I to am having this issue of streams ending,annoying to have a playoff game dump out at the scheduled EPG end time, even if its in sudden death overtime. hagertyoh did you find a resolution? This is definitely a sling issue, don't have this problem with my HDHomerun. Any help or tips greatly appreciated

I believe this is an inputstream adaptive issue. Please update to the latest and test.

Install failed due to invalid structure. a re- download had the same result. remove previous version before install?

@tveng Sorry I forgot that it needs to be manually built from the repo. You'll have better luck downloading from the jenkins build site here: https://jenkins.kodi.tv/job/xbmc/job/inp...job/Omega/

Just be sure to get the correct version based on your OS.

I appreciate the efforts. I tried the latest version and is has the same issue. I use armv7. I am glad to know the issue is understood. Thanks

I use RPi4 running Libreelec 11.0.6 (Kodi Matrix). I had to rebuild one of my PI's after an unsuccessful attempt to upgrade to Libreelec 12. Normally I use Slyguy's addon's because I couldn't get the Sling DVR with the beta version. I'm hoping this will resolve the DVR issues.

Anyway, I can't get logged in. I've confirmed my user ID and password are correct. I've reset the default's multiple times and re-entered the password multiple times. I've reset the password on Sling to something not as complicated and I still cannot get logged in.

Am I missing something?
