I've been alpha testing the next version of XBMCEyetvParser to include limited library support. I would like to find some knowledgeable users using the current version without any issues to help test the next generation. PM me here to help.

ps-version 1.5 attempts to optionally create a new directory and then populate that directory with symbolic links to the actual eyetv files in a directory structure that the XBMC tvshow library can work with. You can then add that (very small) directory as a new source and use the tvshow scrapers on it, or, optionally, build .nfo files from the Eyetv EPG data. You can edit the symbolic link filenames at will to better suit the scrapers then the Eyetv EPG data, or manually edit the .nfo files as needed.

XBMCEyetvParser (and XBMCEyetvScraper) now include improved support for showing the cast members in the XBMC movie info dialog. In case anyone missed it, the last update fixed bugs in some Internationalization code, enabling use in countries outside the US. There is a German translation of the strings used for the settings, I would love other language translations of the 2 or 3 strings used in the settings, so if anyone can help me with that, please PM me here. The SVN Repo plugin is the easiest way to update. The latest is in the XBMC add-on SVN.

Hi all, I am having a strange issue with large file.

A 2.1 GB recording starts buffering but it stays 2% all the time.
Sometimes it starts playing back but showing just the very first frames and then stay on loading for ages.

The repo is on a Ethernet drive, but I experience no issue on playing large non-EyeTV files, even more than 8GB, so it should a plugin issue.

Is there any known limitation/issue with files larger than a given size?

I use this with a local drive, and I have no issue with large files. I can't say about network drives, but the plugin only presents xbmc with the eyetv mpg file, which then gets sent to the standard video player. Perhaps your xbmc debug log might provide some insight.

One possible explaination for whats happening is that you seem to have TOG turned on, but the locations for FFmpeg and Imagmagick are not correct. Perhaps you should turn TOG off (plugin settings) and see how that works.

Try increasing your video cache that worked for me on a large file that just buffered but never played.
