Video and audio does not sync
#16
no, not using framerate adjust om eighter modes.
#17
nope, not using framerate adjust (though i have tried enabling it). have also tried various combinations of pal-60 enabled/disabled, filters on/off, and just about every other setting available through the gui.

no matter what i do, the audio and video will not sync on certain files. have tried the 'released' 07-01-04 build of xbmc also with no joy.

can you all please use gspot on a problem file to check if the file is opendml avi or not?, opendml avi is not yet supported

the people who have desync, do you guys use digital out?
#21
i do. but after checking almost every movie iv got is opendml and moste of en havbe no sync issue...

whats up with thatHuh
#22
ok, the clip i posted is apparently an opendml avi file, so i converted to an 'old' v1.0 avi and it's almost in sync. i haven't spent any time playing with the audio delay to see exactly how far out it is, but it's a definite improvement. i'll have to go back and check all the other settings i've changed as they could be causing the remaining sync problem.

i find it interesting that mrmario64 has the clip i posted playing with no problems. either he's using a newer/different build of xbmc, or this isn't a fundamental inability to play opendml avi files. that theory is backed up by ktd's comments as well.

maybe i'll just stream everything into matroska files and be done with it. oh wait, i can't play those yet can i... Image

as mentioned in one of my earlier posts, i've tried both digital out and regular tv audio. the sync problems are identical in both cases.

i don't really see any sync issues with divx/xvid, but almost every mpg i get seem to have sync issues (that i don't have in xbmp).

just figured i should share.

when using rewind/forward. getting different sync every time.
the audio 250 ms after video.

well.. xbmp has been released but xbmc is still in alpha...

dragonface, i would like to shove xbmc up your a$$.
if you do not like xbmc, don't use it.
if xbmp is better for you, use that.

do not complain about sources being in alpha stage.
do not complain about free sources you don't have to do shit for.
you really think your comments will help?

i normally don't shove stuff up peoples a$$es, but you gotta speak at the same level as the listener right??
