CCM for Helix
About boot animation.
The one used in your skin has a bad quality. There are links for better one. Also please add an option to select boot animation.

Since the vertical menu is no longer with us, I thought it was about time to modernize the edges of the media blade (info and favorites also). And the select button used.

Thoughts?

Looks good - But I'm a fan of your work Big Grin

Another thing, I’m running Openelec on one of my boxes. In the sub menu for system I can’t find the openelec setting option.

@ thewarm - thanks for the theme, I really like what you've done Big Grin

@ Mudislander - I seem to have found a problem/bug. We often leave our box on all the time, generally at the last screen we were on. When I come back the next day and press the back button on my remote, the skin reverts to a library view of the videos folder, and repeated presses of the back button on the remote move me back to the home menu through a library view of the videos folder, as you would expect. This behaviour didn't happen on previous version of CCM. Any ideas what might be going on?

If you'd like I'll set up a debugging log overnight to see if this brings this behaviour shows up in the log.

Great work so far! Cool

There is an option to select the boot up animation - "Enable Playlist at Startup" right underneath the "Enable Kodo Intro Movie".

I will not change the intro movie to some resource hungry hi def intro - CCM is busy underneath and for some users it would be a horrible choppy experience.

Whoops Big Grin - I'll check on it. Considering my main machine runs on Openelec that's a big one. Shows how often I change my settings !!

Is this from a playlist type item? By previous version of CCM do you mean Gotham version or from the start of this thread. Does it only do that if left on overnight or every time.

Actually don't think there's that much I can do - except I've a niggle that I might not have included the "return" part of the command for some reason I've now forgotten.

The cool thing about doing this MOD is I get to play first Big Grin Take changing font colour for example, I've been concerned that it's a waste of time and resources especially as users can get colour schemes and or themes.

I maintain CCM on my Laptop, but watch on an Openelec machine running a projector. When I first added the colour choices to the laptop I still thought this is a waste of time. Then I tried it on the projector. all the colours I thought were horrible on the laptop - were the clearest on the projector. Big difference - I'm now happy with it, although we may need some better colours !!

Looking for something easy to do tonight.

Who needs the help screen explaining the side menu, by the time any of us use CCM - we've all seen Confluence and been taught.

I'm thinking of taking it out unless some of you really need it Smile

Also does anybody need the kiosk mode still ?

Mudislander you're right that if you been using CCM, you've likely gone way past needing the help screen.

Never used the kiosk mode since I began using XBMC/KODI. My 9 year old is able to successfully make some minor changes in KODI already, so we've never gone to needing to lock any views/menus.

That's the beauty of Kodi, the player formerly known as XBMC (nod to Prince)... It works on so many platforms and devices!

Mudislander you are doing a great job, I love your skin!!! Smile

I would like to ask a couple of things if it's possible:

- in the previous version there was a possibility, when you play a song, to send immediately in full screen after start playing (with lyrics Smile ), is in your plan to restore that?

- when i play a song in fullscreen the background is moving, there's a way to prevent that?

Thanks a lot!

Plan to add in the option for fullscreen on start of play for music, probably this week. Lyrics should start depending on your lyrics addon and settings - but I'll check that.

Another Guy who gets seasick Big Grin I'll add the setting this week - if you can't wait there's a way to stop it a few pages back.

Thanks a lot! I can wait for sure the anti-seasick option Big Grin

I have installed your skin from SuperRepo, will I receive the auto-update or should I add Hybrid Repo (see Post: #1) and reinstall the skin?

Another little question, I have two machine with openelec... is possible to backup the skin configuration from machine#1 and import the settings to machine#2?

I like the Color Picker!!! There's something there for everyone! It's almost as good as a rainbow!

Removal of the floor is another great addition to the skin! I like the floor being there myself but I know there are those that don't so this option is nice to have! CCM for Helix = Freedom of Choice!

CCM for Helix = Freedom of Choice!

This is sounding very much like a political statement from back home Big Grin
