Hi. if someone is still intrested I finally got time to update the addon. 
I improved a lot the structure of the addon. It now supports mediaset login so it can play login only content (login content is also widevine protected so you need to download widevine dlls with inputstream helper if you're not on android). It doesn't detect yet if the content needs login so if you're not logged in and the content requires login it will just fail to play.
It's still not perfect and it needs a lot of testing. When the addon is ok I'll add it to the repo.
You need to uninstall the other versions of this addon and install these two addons to test it:

Unfortunately there are many videos doesn't work even with 'login'. Example: Category TV Series -  C.S.I Miami 6 - Episode 13 "the prisoner" doesn't work while online with the browser works perfectly.

Windows 10 kodi 18.5 log: "InputStream Adaptive: Unable to load widevine shared library (C:\Users\######\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\cdm\widevinecdm.dll)"

Kodi can't find widevine library to play protected content. Try to go to "inputstream helper" settings. In the add-on there's an option to download the widevine library in the right folder

I found 3 possible issues/improvements:
1- There is no "Cerca" present (therefore making it hard to find a program  in the "TUTTO" section.)
2- A third option in the menu section "Menu Letter A-Z" enabling a person to search by letter at a time.  Seeing all the programs that begin with an "A", "B", "C", etc. like in the web site "https://www.mediasetplay.mediaset.it/catalogue"
3- "Programmi TV" section/menu  missing

Hi the mediaset play opens and you can find movie or tv show but when you press on it ,it shows its going to play but it just stops that's what i find when trying to watch a movie or tv show

Right you can find but you have to scrolling down all the video. Try  for example to find a program (Program like "Uomini e macchine"  not Serie Tv or Movie) that start with letter "U". With a menu of 'Letters A-Z' or a menu of 'Programs' it would be much easier

Now in the main section there's a letter filter
Added search function
Added guide tv function
Now you get a message if you need the login or if you have a problem with addon
Added a setting to download widevine directly from the addon setting
Added paging support to improve performance on slow devices (configurable in settings)

The Mediaset Play addon is finally back in the official kodirepo! I added some fixes...
I'm trying to implement restart of live programs but right now there's a problem with inputstream that fails to play the video stream.

I updated my addon with new stuff and improvements.
It finally supports resume of live channels (you have to manually go back but it works). It also fixes some bug and improve data collected. Right now it's only manual install but after some testing I'll post it to the repo.
