First, thanks for the excellent Internet Archive Game Launcher. I use nothing but in my KODI setup.
I'm requesting help to map a button or button combo on my game controller to the "Escape" key or whatever else will quit the currently running game. I am running KODI 18.2 (actually, an upgraded KODIbuntu) with default skin, RetroArch 1.7.6, IAGL 2.1.1 and I use two Smart gamepad TGZ-850Ms that are recognized by RetroArch and IAGL as Microsoft X-Box 360 pads. KODI says the default media center controller is based on the Xbox 360 controller as well and "Controller 1" was easy to set up for that purpose using the GUI. Both controllers work just fine in every emulator and game I play (and "Controller 1" navigates KODI fine). The only thing I cannot do is actually Quit the game I'm playing. The only way to do that is to press [Esc] on the keyboard.
These Smart gamepad TGZ-850Ms controllers are extremely similar to PlayStation DualShock controllers except that the [Analog] button is labeled [Home] and there are two extra buttons; [Back] above [Select] and [Menu] above [Start]. These don't seem to be mapped to anything. Going "Back" in KODI is actually accomplished by pressing [Home]+. If I press [Home] by itself, I go to the RetroArch screen and the RetroArch screen goes away (or maybe it's just hidden from view?) if press [Home] again. Pressing the [Select]+[Start] buttons takes me to a MAME BIOS screen. From there, no other button or button combo (I know of) exits that. I must press [Esc] on the keyboard.
I've got easy access to retroarch.cfg or joystick.xml if it's one of those that needs editing.
