I'm betting the error is in your user folder (special folder). A regular reinstall does not touch this folder. A clean install would do it, but I doubt you want to delete your user folder.

Go to c:\users\<your user name>\appdata\roaming\xbmc and rename the addons folder to addons.bak and restart XBMC. If this doesn't work try the same with c:\users\<your user name>\appdata\roaming\xbmc\userdata\addon_data etc. Note that these steps are reversable.

We already have had problems with it ourselves. The unicode/encode errors are the most problematic things atm

Hi,
this Addon is great, but I hate to have to open the OSD and then find the lyrics button to start the addon, so I would like to assign a button on my keyboard/remote to the addon. What would I have to add to the keymap XML-file to open the addon with just one push of a button from the fullscreen visualisation? I'm familiar with the XML keymappings, but don't know how to CU lyrics.

EDIT: Ok, I found out by accidently reading the CU Lyrics script-id in it's default.py-file.
You have to add <a>RunScript(script.cu.lyrics)</a> , if the button "a" should bring up the lyrics on screen.

I just tried your plugging.
Not many song yet so I tried through a web radio. Well it did work for one song so far, but other are returning nothing.
May be it is because the song i Listen are French only and not mainstream so the DB dont know thoses song or because of the plugging ?
The fact that make me post here is that every time the script perform the search he cropt the last letter of the artist name (at least from what it is displayed to me).

Either it is from the radio stream itself or the script or a mix of both, but what do you think about the "last letter cropped" ?

Thanks for the great script! I'm really new to XBMC but loving the rich data experience. Maybe I'm missing something but is there a way to query the lyrics for all the songs in my library? I've currently got my box playing all the songs so that they get queried as they pop up but it's going to take a while (roughly a month, if iTunes is to be believed) for all my tracks to be queried. I've tried using other plugins for iTunes before but have never successfully been able to properly tag all my music and your script seems to be the only one doing a good job of it.

No way to do that, you have to play them to get the lyrics

I´m a first time CU Lyrics script user and was playing with it for a while but can´t seem to get smooth scrolling working, it´s fetching the lyrics but it doesn´t seem to scroll. Do i need to have something special in id3tags or something like that? Google wasn´t very helpful in this.

Is CU Lyrics capable to load locally stored *.lrc files? If i place a lrc file with the exact name as the mp3 will it be picked up?

I have placed a few lrc files with the same name as the mp3 but they don't get loaded.

I tried to copy/paste the function from lrc lyrics addon but that didn't worked as epxected.
