Before you give up you might try the Sling version in the link below. It is called Sling not Sling TV. I will caution the Sling version support has been waning over the last year. I have been successfully using Sling on a raspberry pi 4 with Slyguys merge function for several years.

To the best of my knowledge, there is/was a beta version of the Sling addon, which was what I started with when I switched to using Sling.  It kinda, sorta worked.  Then I found SlyGuy's addon which integrated Sling, Stremium and OTA. Works great and use it on all of my RPi4's, however, I can't access Sling DVR, so I always kept the Sling Beta installed just to access DVR, which sometimes worked, most times not.  I just recently found this Sling TV release and thought that I'd try it.

I don't think that I'm hijacking anything.  I thought this was the actual Sling release, replacing the beta version.  Sorry if I am wrong.

I to am having this issue of streams ending,annoying to have a playoff game dump out at the scheduled EPG end time, even if its in sudden death overtime.  hagertyoh did you find a resolution? This is definitely a sling issue, don't have this problem with my HDHomerun. Any help or tips greatly appreciated

The latest inputstream-adaptive update fixed the issue for me.

Are the free channels still working for anybody?

I don't have a subscription (yet) but I wanted to try the free channels to see if this addon still works. I'm running Kodi 21.1.0 on LibreELEC 12.0.1 (the x86_64 build) on an old mini-PC. I installed Sling TV v2024.02.04 (from GitHub) and IPTV Manager 0.2.5+matrix.1 (from Kodi Add-ons), and I applied the workaround suggested at https://github.com/add-ons/service.iptv....1492875347 to get IPTV Simple Client to actually read the playlist generated by IPTV Manager, which on my machine appears to live at /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.iptv.manager/playlist.m3u8.  (I tried IPTV manager 0.2.4 from GitHub but it was no better.)  I launched the Sling TV addon and selected the guest account option, which appeared to be successful, and I launched IPTV Manager and requested "Refresh channels and guide now ...", which after ~10 seconds of activity also completed without any apparent error.  However, the TV channels list in Kodi is empty, and the aforementioned playlist.m3u8 has only:

and nothing else.

I've been wanting to make this work, really bad, but can't seem to.  The previous version I couldn't get logged in and this version just won't install.  It fails to install dependency's.  

How can I figure out dependency's it needs so I can install them?

Install IPTV Manager from their github repo as the version in the official kodi repo doesn't work correctly.

should this addon be marked broken in the Kodi repo?

After several attempts, I finally got this latest version installed.  However, I still cannot get logged in. I know the user ID and password is correct.
