Release Titan Vanilla for Leia, Nexus and Omega (Kodi 18, 20 and 21)
#46
I really like some of the options that are available in the Live TV OSD.  In particular I think the mini guide, and channel list are useful but I never use them because they require a mouse.  Is there a way to map a remote press so that it brings up any of these menus while TV is playing?  Thanks.

I'm having an issue with Netflix Widgets on my homescreen where I can add widgets for something like my list, and it shows but when I select a particular show in My list and select play I get a loading circle for a few seconds but the video doesn't play.  Picking these same episodes from within Netflix itself works fine.  What I have also noticed is that when I build homescreen widgets for the Genres in Netflix, the widgets work fine and the videos play.  It almost acts like it can't find the video from the widget.  Also my Recently Played TV Channels widget started coming up blank recently, I.E. the title header is there but there aren't any channels shown.  I can give logs if need be but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea about what might be wrong?  Thanks.

Hi

Many thanks for keeping this great skin going.

I used to use the original Titan Skin and have now switched to this, however I am having very high CPU usage (up to 100%) and often around 50 to 70%, If I switch to confluence this drops to 20 to 40 % and never over 60%

Is there any way I can see what is causing the extra CPU usage and maybe do something to reduce it?

I am using an AMD A6-6400K APU with 8GB RAM

Many Thanks

Andy

@AndyHandy
You could try to Adjust settings for low performance devices enabling the low performance option and disable any views you don't use.
It is difficult to do a remote diagnosis, but an AMD A6-6400K is quite a slow processor and that even Confluence takes a double-digit percentage CPU usage makes me wonder.

EDIT: I myself use an Intel NUC 5i3RYK which is insignificant faster than the A6, and here Confluence also takes a double digit percentage CPU usage, well strongly fluctuating.

Don't know if it is really skin related, but all of a sudden my skin helper service widget add-on is generating errors in Titan Vanilla.

Any idea how to fix?

Alright, thanks! Downgrading the arrow script to version 0.10.0 fixed the issue.

Now I need to find out how to get my rotating fanart backgrounds working again.. That option has completely dissapeared from the shortcut settings in the skin. Can only select static images.

Great, thanks! That worked Smile
Didn't find it within the Kodi repository though, but installed it manually and that worked.

Any idea why I can't use 'random TV show background' anymore? Is that a related bug?

Does someone here try to create a backup in 3.7.x version and restore it on this version?
I want to upgrade my Kodi to Leia, but I want to keep everything as it was in 3.7.x

In older versions of Titan and Kodi you could click on the album widget and its song list would open. Now the list of all albums opens. Where to fix it? Tnx.

Is there any way that customization options for the "Viewed" markers could be added? I migrated to this skin from Estuary MOD when i was forced to update out of Krypton and love the looks of the vast majority of the skin, however compared to the old Estuary MOD the "Viewed" giant blue traingle and eyeball is very intrusive.

In Estuary MOD it had the ability to not show the "Viewed" marker when navigating the series list unless you were highlighting the title/series, which is great for a clean library navigation look. Compared to the current Titan, the giant blue eyeballs in the corner of every movie poster is just yuck. Same thing on TV Banners.

So while i'd love the option to customize the icon itself to something cleaner and crisper (Estuary MOD had a small open circle for unwatched, and then a small checkmark in a filled in circle for viewed), at the very least the option to hide the viewed icon in a level by level basis is greatly desired. Right now you can either have it exist or not, but you cannot individually control it in a playlist, or on any different list view type to be able to hide it in the upper navigation levels of the series titles and have it shown in the season and episode navigations.

@Whirlwind

As you pointed out you can enable and disable the markers and change their colors for different items, watched items, in progress items, movie sets, unwatched episodes etc.
In case you would like to change the icons you would have to do so manually:
In the folder %APPDATA%\Kodi\addons\skin.titan.vanilla\media you'll find a file called "Textures.xbt", which contains all images used in the skin. Extract it following the description in TextureTool (wiki)
Then you'll find the triangle symbol at:
...\media\diffuse/icon_overlay.png
and the symbols themselves:
...\media\overlays\big\... resp. ...\media\overlays\normal\....
After applying your changes you can leave everything uncompressed or generate a new Textures.xbt.
