I think I'm using the default font (deja vu sans?), or at least don't remember changing it to that. The .nfo file was scraped and exported by kodi that I checked it against.
Try changing to the Arial based font.

No change. Opening the .nfo file in Wordpad shows this, the double comma is somehow one character. I tried opening character map, choosing deja vu sans and copying/pasting the "ä" and saving it as unicode, but still no luck.

Ah, so this isn't a skin issue. Best post this somewhere else.

Yeah it was PEBKAC, didn't even think to check other Swedish artists first. But this one I had to copy/paste the bio and guess saving it borked it. Usually opening in WordPad and saving fixes it.

I did find a typo in the choose art dialogue box, should be "fanart2" I'm guessing. kodi 19.1

Yeah but I think that's one you've added using 'Add art type'.

Possible, but I can't recall ever using the add art thing. I have tried other skins, but always reverted back. Maybe one of those did it? I may just go the nuclear route and start from scratch.

It will come up again until you find the mispelt fanart2 in your folders.
Do a global search on your files.

Hi,

On tv shows the thumbnail does not show. I have gone into settings-media-videos-library-show information for unwatched items and ensured that episode thumb is enabled but instead it just shows the generic poster art for the show.

I’ve tried other skins and the episode thumbnail shows correctly.

Am I missing something??

It displays a poster or fanart instead of the episode thumb?

Screenshot?

Correct.

Currently it shows the generic poster for the show, rather than the thumbnail for the episode.

The below screenshot shows what I mean.

I’ve checked multiple times that the settings in media-library-video-show information is correct.

It displays the episode thumbnail in every other skin I’ve tried.

So this is an example of what I see at the moment (these aren’t my screenshots):

This is what I’d expect to see instead:

It seems you've somehow added posters as an art type for episodes.

To check this open the info screen, select 'Choose art', and tell us what types are listed. You should only really have 'Thumbnail'.

@Hitcher I’ve just checked and it only shows thumbnail under information.

As mentioned before if I try another skin the thumbnail shows correctly which is what I find weird. The copacetic skin for example displays the thumbnail for episodes perfectly.

Here’s an example of what’s happening right now in estuary

The poster will only show if there's a poster value set on the episode.

Are you using a media manager?
Which version of Kodi are you using?

I have tried to disable category widgets but they keep getting re-enabled after Kodi is restarted.

Are you shutting down Kodi correctly?
