i'm not able to choose a download folder for offline screensaver. i choose a folder and press on download videos but still it asks to choose folder...help?

EDIT: issue fixed by allowing the screensaver to start while the download folder is selected. then after waking up from screensaver, the download videos button will work.

I was able to install is and it works great, except for the issue that it is actually running a video vs being a standalone screensaver. this makes it so that it will stop any audio (was hoping to have the screensaver while playing audio). FULL DISCLOSURE: I have not turned this back on in a couple months so I am not sure whether this issue has been addressed or fixed.

all that being said, it looks beautiful and I really hope it can be made to work more seamlessly.

Hi!

I am using version 1.3.1 on openelec 6.0.1/Pi 2 and I have the following issue:

Kodi is running and I'm switching the source on my TV (to another Input or TV-Mode). At that moment when the screensaver is starting (--> after 5 minutes), my TV is switching back to the source of my rapsberry (HDMI) automatically.

I don't want that automatic switch. Is there an option to disable it?

Thats an option in config.txt of the pi distro, i dont remember exactly which one. But it is external to the addon.

No, this will be a CEC issue. Try system/input/peripherals/cec.

Popcornmix is right it's a CEC issue. I think it is the same behaviour that happens when your tv is off and you restart the pi. The tv is automatically turned on.
I really don't remember the name of the property to disable that default behaviour you are probably better looking in raspberry pi forums. It is not hdmi_ignore_hotplug, probably hdmi_ignore_cec_init=1? Popcornmix probably knows better.

enjoying your good work, I realized another little "inconvenience". After running for quite some time, the screensaver turns into a black screen. I think it occurs when all videos have been played but I am not sure about it. Is possible to change the settings to play them in an endless loop?

I have a little problem/bug: When the screensaver was active, the video playing is switched to loop: So if I watch a video after the screensaver was running the video will be replayed consistently and I have to go to the playlist-preferences and disable the repeat-option.

Is there a possibility to change that?

For some reason, I am not seeing it truly full screen:

This a view using TeamViewer, but it looks the same on my TV.That's Aeon Nox in the background/borders.

Any thoughts on how to expand the screensaver to full screen?

I still have the problem. It's really annoying to change the repeat thing every time. I thing this line is not working for me:

just grabbed this from official repo in kodi 16 (jarvis), went to settings, setup offline folder and told it to grab all the vidoes.
now going to settings > appearance > screen saver > preview.. kodi hangs.

extracting over existing install...

now preview works, always plays the same first video.. go to settings and disable ny now it plays the next one.. but always that one (not sure if its supposed to randomize... most screensavers would.. why im noting it).

one thing I noticed is that it plays the video.. (choppy) then after 5 secs it pauses.. then plays smoothly afterwards. it does this every time if i back out and then back into preview.
machine is core i7 2.8ghz+ssd+nvidia GeForce GT 730.. so i find it quite abnormal to see any choppy video... logs below:

same here, It always starts on the same video, causing me to never see most of the videos, always just the same ones, in the same order...

I just found out about this screensaver and I absolutely love it. However, downloading the videos doesn't seem to work.
I can set a downloader folder and download them and a progress bar will be displayed (with about 10% but it never continues) and then it's gone and the download folder remains empty.

Is there a possibility to download the files from a website/host and let the screensaver run them locally (when downloaded). Also, I'm not sure if that's already what it does, in case it would've downloaded the files.

In any case, thanks for the great screensaver and the help!

Edit: I just read that the add-on will check for local videos first. I have downloaded them, but do the videos have to located in separate folders (right now I have all of them collected into the official download folder)?
Also, the stutter at the beginning of the videos (RP3) still seems to be there and the screen turns black once all videos have been played. Is there any way to repeat them indefinitely?
