Do you have a roadmap for an icon only option

I was actually going to look at it today as I have some free time to dedicate to skinning.

I'm glad that you brought it up, as I'm wondering whether it should be icon only inside the library also (so the side menu for view options etc.)? Or would that be too confusing to know what is what?

Yes, inside the library would be great but you could add an option to disable it for users who may fined it confusing.

Are you going to highlight the icons or keep the slim vertical scroll bar as navigation?

I like the slims vertical scroll bar option or highlighted borders around the icons. Do you have other ideas in mind.

I'm only going to have the one option, otherwise the settings get way too bloated. Plus it gets difficult managing multiple conditions.
Using the slim highlight on the side. When the menu isn't focused, only the icon will be slightly brighter and the highlight will disappear.

You can test on latest git. Option is in Skin Settings > Miscellaneous > Icon only mode (scroll down to see it).

2. At settings, i think it should be added the name of highlighted menu somewhere on the screen, possibly at the topbar. Settings screen has so many icons that it's difficult to navigate. Maybe when highlight a setting menu to become active instantly like home menu does, so the name is visible at the topbar

1. I've been meaning to add an indicator for submenus in general, just haven't got around to it. It's mostly a matter of getting something nice that is subtle.

2. I really wish it was possible to automatically switch between the settings pages but it isn't. The problem is that each is an individual window, so if you open on focus then you get stuck in an infinite loop -- the new window opens and the menu gets focus so it tries to open the window again ad infinitum. I just use a couple of clever tricks to make it seem like it is all one window when it really isn't.

I'm not really keen on adding a bunch of stuff for the icon only mode as it isn't the default setting. Once you start adding things for different settings like that it starts getting really hard to keep track of everything. Makes it really easy to overlook something when making changes and introduce bugs. I'm happy to have the icon only mode because it is mostly just changing some animation and visibility conditions, but it is always going to be an extra not a default.

ok, thank you for the answers. Something else, on icon mode weather widget has now more space so you could add the last column that is missing (wind, uv index, 5th day)
