Off topic but is there anyway to emulate PVR for skinning purposes only I've been asked before about adding support for it and don't have PVR?

I got no idea to be honest hitcher there was a post a while ago about a program that created a dummy capture card or something like that but I never really heard anymore about it. there was a topic a long time ago about it

Nah I'm using the tvheadend pvr addon for xbmc and since the current branch doesn't really work I'm using the ones dushmaniac makes found at the end of this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=51945

Jess_x : I've noticed a lot of newer skiners are adding tv logo support to skins, it's quite a nice little feature that works and looks great.

Would you consider adding support for this?

Also, i'm using your alpha at the moment and was wondering if you plan to keep those really tiny-ass tumbnails in list view to the left of the movie tittle?

I'm sorry to offend you in any way, but... Don't you find these pointless?

they serve no purpose being that small.


also, another thing to point out in list view, is you have "SD or HD" next to the tittle in the list... but it tells you right down the bottom in the white info strip the same thing...
doubling up i guess...

* Tiny arse thumbnails depends on the size of your screen and the resolution you use I guess I for 1 like them because at a quick look you can tell all these are from different albums http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/6108/...ot033a.png by the color

* SD HD not really a double up because the stuff at the bottom only shows you the current selected item and the ones down the bottom also show if its 1080 or 720 instead of just HD

Am I alone in this way of thinking ?

So is that window with "the 70s show" a now playing window? So as you scroll it shows the current now playing of the focused channel plus the synopsis? If yes, thats pretty cool!

- No I can see your points. I guess I don't use music view much and didn't think of the thumbnails like that. Though in movies I still feel it's pointless. But only my thoughts...

Maybe a toggle for this?

Love the pvr screens. I wish there was more support for windows other than media portal plugin! lol Linux seems like the ultimate way to go, I guess... But not practical for my needs. Seriously can't wait till the official development for pvr starts, feels like it's taking forever!

Yeah like hitcher said (and you can see in that screen shot) "7 mate" channel is whats actually playing notice the list highlight (its orange). And ABC has focus so its showing whats currently playing on that channel (ABC3).

Basically That 70's show is the just a now playing video window. Its handy because the pvr lefts you browser channels and clicking them doesn't fullscreen it, it plays in the little window then if you want to go fullscreen you click it a second time or you can go pick another channel. (thats the default behavior can be changed to 1 click fullscreen)

Any updates Jezz im running this as my main skin atm really liking the posters view nice and simple with everything you want displayed (imo)

only updates is Ive been working on the pvr parts about 90% done on them now once done I will commit it and build a working pvr release it (hopefully within a week) then back to the main skin tweaking

I really like it Jezz_X. Any plans on making the same sort of options available as Confluence ie, removing home screen options and so we can directly go to movies or tv without th submenu.
