@Hinkel @komplex - I think it depends on what scraper you use. I'm displaying the premiered date and its possible that all scrapers don't scrape it for movies. I will add a check to display just the year if premiered is not available.

EDIT: Ok should be fixed now. If you have premiered date it will display that, otherwise it will fallback to just plain year.

I think this has been said a bunch of times, but again I will say thank you jurialmunkey for all your work and effort. I never though I could say that, but I can't find any new request/bug to say you about this skin, is 100% perfect as it is.
The color adaptation has been one of the greatest improvement, as now everything looks stunning, and sometimes I find myself just going through my library discovering how the colors match perfectly fine with the art.
The videoclips OSD has been another great thing and all the views you've created works perfectly, is quite difficult to choose one as all of them have great stuff, my life is now much more complicated due to this .
TBH can'f find a reason why is not being released to the official Kodi repo yet.

I can only wish if you can continue the work djh_ did on his Aeon (2017) as this is the only skin that can compete with Horizon, and you are the most skilled skinner.

Proud to announce the beta release of Horizon, a skin for Kodi Krypton 17 by jurialmunkey and Swageroni_
Everything should work properly. However, this is a beta release so expect bugs and also changes as skin development progresses.

Instructions: Follow the github link above to go to the github page. Click the green "Clone or Download" button. Select download zip. Github updates need to be done manually, so when updating the skin make sure you give the zip file a unique name otherwise kodi will try to use a cached version (I usually just add the date on the end - e.g. skin.horizon-180717.zip). Then go to Add-ons and select install from zip (you might need to turn on install from unknown sources in System Settings > Add-ons).

Hi Jurial,

first off- thanks for all your work. Best Skin ive ever used.

now to my problem:

in your picture the topbar and the widget background is totally black. id like to recreate that look but cant get it to work. ive a black wallpaper as background and use icon mode. them is the dark one. however- the topbar is greyish and the background behind the widgets is greyish also. only if i remove the widget it shows the ttotally black wallpaperbackground completely. however- the topbar is still greyish.

is there an option i missed? its like it applies a blurry highlight behind the widget and over the topbar. as far as colors goes ive only set the dialog colors. background overlay, etc is still default. the "display background color overlay setting is unchecked. so its just the wallpaper without special effects but somehow i still have an effect.

im sure its really simply- but even after hours playing around i still dont get the pure black look i get without widgets. hope u can help me here. thx

Since the colour update, my fanart backgrounds have lost a lot of detail/murky
Also, There is an image shift(cropped). image 1 sun icons are below the mountains. Image 2 higher

Really loving this skin! I've been modding it just a bit and I think I messed something up but I can't seem to figure it out. I am modding the Icons Info view and all of the sudden instead of a landscape image above the info, I am getting the poster in that image control. I've tracked that image control texture to $VAR[Image_Fanart]. What is stumping me is that the Landscape List view seems to get the landscape image from the same variable and it is working correctly.

Any ideas what could cause this? Why would the variable produce different results?

There were some big changes to the background handling a little while ago, which is not reflected in those screenshots.

To get close to it. Download the latest git (I just added an additional option you will need).

Switch these options -- EDIT: they are now under "Effects"
Skin Settings > Effects > Make top header bar transparent (ON)
Skin Settings > Effects > Display background color overlay (OFF)
Skin Settings > Effects > Display background vignette effect (OFF)

That should be the same settings as the original screenshots.

The cropping is because I decided that I wanted the header transparency off by default. I was getting some things ready for repo inclusion so had to make that change.

You can turn it back on in Skin Settings > Effects > Make top header transparent

Also I just added an option to disable the vignette effect on the background.
EDIT: They are now under "Effects"
Skin Settings > Effects > Display background color overlay (OFF)
Skin Settings > Effects > Display background vignette effect (OFF)
You have to turn the color overlay off first to access the vignette effect option.
That should take you back to the old setup.

I have no idea. That shouldn't be happening with that variable unless you have changed something.

This is really odd. You are right. Disabling Demo PVR stops it working, but I have no idea why -- so strange!! I will investigate more and let you know if I discover anything

I figured it out!!!

Delete the "Live TV" entry from the home menu in the home customisation screen. The skin thinks that the live tv entry is there, so it is trying to display the number of widgets for that entry.
