Why doesn't Frodo doesn't support this with the official XBMC Remote?

Hi is there a context menu button
going to the keyboard mode and sending C doesn't work.
maybe have another menu with 8-10 customizable buttons? that way you don't have to squeeze in every request

Wow Thank you so much for the above keyboard tip. That will save me a lot of time for sure!
Loving the app and using for both my Pi and ATV2. I was wondering if it was possible to add a skip forward / back 10 minutes while streaming content. Either by using the next chapter/file buttons or the up down arrows as none of these seem be used while streaming (next file/chapter just ends the current video and errors out as while streaming there typically is no next video file found in the same folder. ) I have found a way to add this tweak to my key maps while using the atv2 and their remote but would to find a way to integrate this into xbmc remote so it works reguardless of the platform I'm using to run XBMC.
Also is there a way I can disable the bottom row of shortcuts in the remote control screen? I find I'm too accustomed to physical buttons and while my eyes are trained on the tv I often misclick too low while running down through list of videos. I'm sure some muscle memory will eventually kick in but until then...
Edit: for anyone having issues with the above keyboard tip, I had to reboot my phone and xbmc for the changes to work. It does work perfectly, no more 2 steps to kb!

Upon further playing with other remote apps and double checking my key maps I think the issue is just that the arrow keys are disabled when a movie is streaming (even the help image specifies 'in GUI' for the arrows) so while I'm pressing up in the app, the button isn't sending up to my xbmc and thus not sending the request to skip ahead 10 minutes.
Is there a way to keep these arrows active while a video is streaming?
Oh you replied already! I'm looking forward to your next release.
I have played with gesture zone a little, ill use it for the next couple days and see if my gestures trail. When I first looked at it I just looked to see if the shortcuts were still in the bottom and they were. But as you pointed out I could just use light gesture in the center and never hit em by mistake.
Thanks for the tips and the great app!

Is there a release date and tentative change list for the next version?
Also, is something being done about the movie thumb art? It looks somewhat squished to me. It doesn't seem to keep the aspect ratio.

just a maintenance version, some minor glitch solved and two new translations, german and italian.
On my side there aren't issues with the movie thumbnails. Have you a screenshot to show me?

I feel I may be in a minority but seem to be coming up short with my own investigations, but since the last and final release of Frodo, my album art is no longer displaying on this my preferred remote of choice.
Artists are Ok. I've deleted the app on iPad and iPhone both exhibit the same problem, to no avail. What adds to my confusion is both Commander and Constellation apps do not appear to have the same issue.
Any ideas

I am having issues getting the app to connect. I can HTTP in to my xbmc and use that remote from both computer and iPhone. iOS App detects the IP address, etc of the XBMC server, and I am putting in the same username & password I used to connect via HTTP, but the thing just sits there with the spinning "hourglass." It did connect for about 2 minutes on initial setup, but then never again once I backed out to the homescreen.
