Best Kodi Media Player Options 2025
Tried that AEUK1110 code but ali express says its invalid, This coupon code is for single use only and can't be used here.

They did apply an £10 discount code though auto.

the AM6B+ is going for $134.16 (pre tax)
I got a code, not sure if it's UK specific, using code AEUK1110
I get $12 off
so it's
$122.16 (pre tax), cheapest I've seen I think
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050062...qFY4y&mp=1
gold star seller

If you buy the AM6B+ and add the kinhank G1 which is on sale for $44.57, you can use the code 11UK20
to get both for $148.73 (pre tax)
you basically get the G1 for free BUT it's from official Kinhank store. so I wouldn't bother since they probably updated the firmware, still you basically paying $34.57 for a G1, man I wish they didn't
look bootloader, I think this box would have been legendary.
Not sure what codes their are out their for none UK residents

thanks for that link was actually on the same page, I did order the AM6B+ from an aliexpress seller called New technology world store for £92 and they 'claimed' it was sent to the wrong address. Got the refund but little less then I paid. Anyhow avoid New technology world store.

From my understanding off this thread and also AVSforums link on AM6B+, its still sounding like the AM6B+ with CE is solid, stable and performing the best which is what I need.
yeah you have to be careful and check the store out. this product is cheaper than others and has no one reviewing it which sent alarm bells but you can check the store feedback

6 years with gold
Customer reviews (1,124)
Store Credibility  4.9/5
94.2% positive reviews

so it seems a good store.
AM6B+ is a solid kodi box, ticks most boxes. try to stack discount codes

how much did you get the box for? you could try installing honey extension and let that look for it.

Yup lesson learned, will check reviews as you suggest to be safe.

Guess lucky to even get an refund even.

I did try stacking a few codes but no joy, honey extension applied as many codes also, even tried the 2nd option to try 20 older codes on honey but no luck, so it still hits £120 to buy it.

it's not luck to get a refund. I trust aliexpress more than I trust Ebay. Everytime I had issue, aliexpress stepped in and sided with me the buyer. if they send you the wrong item they have to give you full refund and you get to keep the item. If it's a scam they will refund you. I've waited 2 weeks over the deadline and then ask informed the seller, he told me if I can wait another 2 weeks. I waited like another 3 weeks. then asked Aliexpress to step in. go a refund, a week later I got my product. (I did wait 2 months when It's meant to be 1 month back then)

I'm sure you'll get a chance leading up to Christmas when people upgrade and have no idea that they don't need to,
also no one will get DV on CoreELEC unless you install community DTB files. CoreELEC will never have it on their official builds, therefore no one that doesn't know, will ever know unless you
get lucky on the coreelec forums and know about this specifically. even you didn't know and you frequent them forums. thus you will get a chance to buy one for $70 easily
would love for you to get one and test it!

You can find it on CoreElec forum, in this post

It is not in official -ng builds. First you have to install latest -ng nightly, then copy the developer build from above link to .update folder and reboot.
Your Odroid N2+ must be connected to a Dolby Vision supported display, otherwise no DV.

FYI, the above linked version will not display DV Profile 5. This is still in the works...

Thanks for the link.

My “new” ODROID N2+ just arrived.
I just ordered it bc of DV support.

I gave my previous old N2 to a fruend of mine so i had to buy a new one.

What about the new dtb for some boxes gives 25% performance?

Did you try this dtb?
Reply
No, it's not 25% overall, just in some cases, for some others it's not noticeable; so not my concern. If it's any good, it's already contained in latest nightlies...

That's an encoding process not a hardware player. Ask elsewhere.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first (usually it's enough to follow instructions in the second post).

Well , I have followed steps from coreelec forum in order to have DV and in order to have right colours I need to enable player led , otherwise colours are wrong with default config which is tv led .

Tv Panasonic gz950 -soundbar - ugoos am6b+

Any idea of what could be the problem ?

alright, short and sweet rundown for the Zidoo Z9X 8K

- does not play 8K AV1 without occasional freezes
- occasional freezes on 4K BluRay (BDMV folders) with built in player
- 1 movie in particular stopped inexplicably 4 different times but the same movie plays fine on other devices
- did not try Kodi as I expect it will be the same as the Z9X Pro where the firmware doesn't expose the necessary api for Kodi to do it's thing
- they removed Developer Tools menu and ADB over wifi,  the developer tools menu can be opened with a side loaded app but doesn't help with the missing ADB
- without the aforementioned ADB i can't even start to diagnose any aforementioned issues

conclusion, device is not mature enough and i recommend against it

-----

since it's a generic amlogic i may try to figure out how to get coreelec onto it, bootloader unlock option is available but afaik nobody has tried ce on this device
