The 1.2.3 update seemed to have messed up the navigation buttons. Hope you guys are aware of that.

I gotta use constellation app until that is corrected.

I just downloaded and install on my iphone 4. Works great (I love it!!!) except the navigation buttons are not functioning. I have to use the "swipe" pad.

Another thing, is it possible to start XBMC via this app? I have autohotkey, it'd be nice to start XBMC via the mobile app (even if it required a program to be running on the OS the entire time).

+1 on this, the only thing I could imagine is if they create a vnc software option, sometimes i have to quit xbmc and relaunch and it requires me to pull out my mce remote or use hippo remote app which is vnc software.

If it could be done somehow else would be incredible.

They have one for Yatse. It looks like it's a .NET app that runs in the background and listens for a WOL command from Yatse. I tried it with XBMC for Android but it didn't work for me. That doesn't mean it's not more universal though. It worked with Yatse and could easily be modded or kept the same and iOS XBMC remote could just send the same command across the network.

But as you can see not a lot of answers, so I kept it for myself, meaning that :
- In current form I won't allow distribution of it for other remote

But I'm still open to work with other to get something more universal and open source.

In release 1.2.3 remote control does not work. All buttons seem "locked".
I also tried to delete and add again the xbmc configuration, but no luck.

since yesterday, the remote quit, not reaaly quit, the application is open (show in the dock) but when i click on it, black screen then retun to the springboard.

First time I have tried to use the app. On launch, screen goes black for a second, then returns to the iPad home screen. As xunil said, the app appears to be open in the dock.

Wouldn't it be as simple as sending a WOL "message" from this program across the LAN to the host? I'm assuming the C# listening program you wrote, listens for a "command" of sorts. If it is a simple command couldn't any of these remote apps easily implement it?

Hi, newbie here so be gentle with me. I've searched this thread but can't find the answer to my (minor) issues with the remote.

1) When I use long press to queue anything it doesn't work unless there is already something in Now Playing. If I select a track and press play it starts playing and then I can queue albums okay. Is there a setting somewhere which controls this or is it a bug/quirk?

2) I can't find a way to shuffle the Now Playing list, is there one?

I'm running XBMC 12 on a Windows 7 machine.

Strange, seems it works fine here. Are you talking about when browsing the music library or the music files? with files there are some limitations (you can enqueue only folders which don't have any other subfolder).

Yes, during the now playing by tapping on the album cover you have the shuffle and repeat buttons (disabled in music party mode due the nature of the music party mode).

Thanks Joe, I won't be able to answer your question definitively until this evening when I get home, but I think it was either way. I am picking up the music from a NAS and this morning made that the default for the music library so there is a chance that may have made it work.

Cheers for the tip about shuffle and repeat. Is there a user guide somewhere as I also don't know what party mode is?
