Mod Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega)
@latts9923 Thanks for the update. Note that even though I was running in horizontal menu mode, after the update I still had to copy the contents of MainMenu.xml.horizontal to MainMenu.xml to restore the horizontal menu. Same happened on both my instances so it wasn't a one off.

You're welcome!

Doh...I accidentally copied my vertical version of MainMenu.xml to the upload folder before I created the zip file. My bad!

@latts9933 😁…with all the updates you are doing I’m surprised you can keep any of it straight.

Haha...it does get a little hairy when I update all 12 skins in one day. I think I'm going to drop support for Krypton and Leia when I release the Piers versions of MQ 7, 8 and 9.

First post on this forum. Go download 1.4.3 zip file. extract "MainMenu.horizontal.xml and copy it to MainMenu.xml in Kodi xml directory. This should bring back Kodi and horizontal menus.

Have you updated the zip file for this latest update? Because when I install your update I no longer have a main menu horizontal bar and I can't move back or forward or do anything. I have to go into file system on shield TV and completely delete skin folder and your zip package to get Kodi back up and working. I have read the post about vertical menu, XML file etc etc. But to tell the truth don't want to go through the hassle, I rather wait till you update the zip file.

@Mele

You do not need to do any of this. Just read  my post #1,166 and follow it.

New version Font.xml rederences: "Aquatico-Regular.ttf", however that font is not present in fonts directory.
Another problem, maybe only on my setup (Raspberry Pi4) is that, selecting anything (Movies, TV Shows, Programs) from the main menu (for the first time), it takes a very long time to load the corresponding screen.
Here is an example of the log:
https://paste.kodi.tv/iximosozih

I'm not sure if the undefined variables causing this slowness or the extrafanart or both of them.

This is nothing new. It is not, necessary, your setup. I use Nvidia Shields Pro and experience same issue.

I don't use a PVR, so I have always struggled with some of the features like the genre colors. I have a genres.xml file in my iptvsimple add-on that looks like this...

xml:
<genres>
<name>Genres Mappings</name>
<genre type="16" subtype="0">Movie</genre> <!-- General Movie/Drama - 0x10 in DVB hex-->
<genre type="16" subtype="0">Movie - Comedy</genre> <!-- General Movie/Drama - 0x10 in DVB hex-->
<genre type="16" subtype="0">Movie - Romance</genre> <!-- General Movie/Drama - 0x10 in DVB hex-->
<genre type="54" subtype="0">TV Show</genre> <!-- Show/Game Show - 0x30 in DVB hex-->
<genre type="54" subtype="0">Game Show</genre> <!-- Show/Game Show - 0x30 in DVB hex-->
<genre type="54" subtype="0">Talk Show</genre> <!-- Show/Game Show - 0x30 in DVB hex-->
<genre type="160" subtype="0">Leisure</genre> <!-- Leisure/Hobbies - 0xA0 in DVB hex-->
</genres>

but I don't see any genre colors in the TV Guide...even in the Estuary skin. Can you provide a copy of your genres.xml?
@latts9923

My genre.xml is empty. I have read a lot about the genre.xml and experimented with it. The problem is not the genre.xml. The problem is the skin. In all other skins, the color is displayed correctly. Even in your skin.aeonmq8.omega.mod it is colored.
