Sorry if this has been addressed already, but I can't seem to find any more info--- I have the same issue as some other folks posting here about when going to add an app to the launcher the only drive shown is the optical drive, so hard drives on the system where the apps actually reside are inaccessible. Can someone point me in the right direction for a fix? Running Dharma rc1, Windows 7 64 bit.

Try going to the file browser and adding the sources you want there. They should then show up in any dialogs like for this plugin.

gives u a long XML to work with.. plus it gives you Description and year and manufacturer already in the XML

just playing around. trying to learn a little about python. but came up with something like this. just not sure where i would put it in this script..

This error is related to a Connection timed out. It seems that your system has not be able to access the allgame page to scrap the game data. I have not yet added into the launcher controls when a page is not found. That's why you obtain a script error. But the error is due to your connection, not to the launcher itself. I will fix this in a future version. Thank you for your feedback.

So since this add-on is out, has the original "Launcher" add-on been replaced? If not, why do we need both?

Thank you for working on this addon... Got me back into playing these old classic games again. I sure do miss the Old Arcades. Kinda Started Falling off the face of the earth since Consoles started coming out. Know for me to find a decent controller. right now i'm using a wii-remote with classic controller.. need something with 6 buttons..

This bug appears when using windows version of XBMC Dharma and is related to XBMC not to the launcher itself. There is several ways to solve or bypass this problem :

1. give administrator rights to XBMC,
2. remove any CD or external drives from your system,
3. manually add sources into XBMC,
4. modify manually the launcher code.

I did not officially receive the agreement of the Launcher Team to replace their version by mine. So, actually, my version is considered as a fork and not the continuance of the original version. That's why you have both versions.

Hi everyone just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem running emulators with launcher in xbmc on xbox I understand that this site no longer supports the xbox platform but I have posted a help request in the xbmc4xbox forums without any replies,
my problem is whenever I try to launch either snes9x or the mameoX emulators they freeze on start up yet they both work perfectly in the uleash dashboard I could elaborate further but I think the best way be to send a debug log if anyone cares to have a look. http://pastebin.ca/2004142 any help anyone can give me with this would be greatly appreciated

The difference is that this one is awesome Smile

. If you look at the announcement post, you'll see some features that arn't available in the original Launcher, my favourite differences being:

Ability to download game information and images
Can specify what directory the thumbnail images live
Actively maintained and constantly growing

Hey guys, I am also having the same problem that Jolid was having on page 2.

I am running windows 7, 64 bit, with xbmc RC1 (with the Night skin, if that matters).

I added my main emulator folder to the file browser, but all I can still select when I try to add an Emulator, is my Optical drive (D).

Any suggestion on a fix? Beside changing drive letters?

anyone recommend an alternate program for downloading the rom boxarts / etc while waiting for advanced launcher to support dling images for all games in a dir?

If the XBox system is not supported anymore by the XBMC team, I'm not sure that the XBox system full support new add-ons and so this one. By looking at your debug log, errors seems related to the plugin paths. Sorry Sad
