Forget it. I found it. It was a color I set for list titles and from the webcolors color menu.
I guess it worked throughout the skin but that one OSD item did not like it.

I just tested v1.7.6 on a fresh Kodi install. The skin installed and completed the initial setup. I did have to back out three times after the setup was complete due to Embuary Helper trying to install, but other than that everything was fine. Are you using an Android device? It seems like those give more trouble on fresh installs than any other device.

Hello, I try to upgrade to the new version skin 1.7.7 (from 1.6.xx) on my ZDMC Kodi 20.2 version.
During the skin upgrade I get an endless install process with the rotating red circle.
How can I stop this?
What went wrong?
Do I need download and install "things" in advance?

Remark: it wasn't possible for me to download 1.7.7 from the actual Repo (!)
The are no updates shown; also not on the used addon's.
I had to download the 1.7.7 manually.
Do I need several supporting addon updates or full install in advance? If yes: which ones I need for 1.7.7?

Update: I made yesterday evening an clean install of the v 1.7.7. on new installed Kodi 20.2 (ZDMC).
Also here I can't install the new version from the scratch. It hangs always on the last install screen with the
red rotation circle without an end.

General feedback:
I tried to work with newer MQ 9 for long time.
Problem in my case using MQ 9 on Kodi/ZDMC z1000 was, that it was too slow.
If you open e.g. an overview of you playlists or open the season overview of a tv show/series the was shown nothing; only the backgound photo was shown.
I had to random click or tried with "esc" to leave the screen. After around 1 minute the view changed back to main menu. Then I went after this again
to the views the data/files was shown.
This was the behavior to all menus and sub menus.
I invested a lot of time to solve this problem e.g. switch from SMB to NFS, testing faster storage devices, several new new installs of Kodi and the MQ 9 skin.
Nothing helped on the end.
Two days ago I installed the older MQ 7 and the older MQ 8 skin.
Result: both works as it should be. The items (above described) are mostly shown directly.
The performance of MQ 8 is a little bit better. So I stay now with the MQ 8 skin.
On the end the use and view of the sub menus on MQ 7 and MQ 8 are better structured and much more family friendly in using Kodi.

Hey guys - is anyone else running into an issue where newly added movies not showing in the library? Added like 15 movies and unwatched shows as 0. Movies don't show in the library but are in the source directory. I know they are there because I can see them in my Plex server on my Firestick. Did I miss an update? Any help would be appreciated. Again, This is only Newly Added movies over - oh - the last month - month and a half. I usually have movies and TV shows (working fine by the way) listed as unwatched by the date added, Again Any suggestions would be awesome. I just don't know why they don't even appear in the library.  thanks i advance

EDIT: After a quick bit of research, movies stopped appearing after 6/23/2024. anyway to go back to the Mod before then to test if somethig happened in the update. how do i access the older versions of the skin for Omega?

No, just a JBOD system. Got a disk for TV and a disc for Movies Disc for Music (Got backup for them when they get full). Tv - NJo prob. Music - No prob. Movie - No new movies since Mid June, AND they're not in in file list. They.re in my library - they have nfo files, in individual folders, but not in the library

@RonnieG3 Do you have Kodi set to do a autoscan for new content when you start it or did you manually scan the new movies into your Kodi library? I keep autoscan turned off since I rarely add any movies (I really only use Kodi for listening to music anymore) so have it set so that I have to manually scan any new movies into my library.

I Manually scan. Tried removing DB and re-adding, nothing after 6/24 shows, gonna delete movie DB and reload - nuclear option I knoiw, but--- before i do that, gonna take all movies 6/24 and rescan into KODI                          ( I use Media companion) see if i can maybe correct possibly corrupt nfos, Then, if that doesn't work, gonna delet DB (can't find option to add source or I'd delete and re-add)

@RonnieG3 Strange for sure. My guess is that the files are labeled correctly or Plex would not have correctly added them to the Plex library. Maybe check what Kodi scraper is being used…IDK. Just for reference I did just add a movie a few days ago and it worked fine but I am running on Omega.

Yeah I have no idea. I'm on Omega too. gonna try a different scraper, see if that works.

I use Media companion also and had trouble putting in a Tv series What finally worked was manually adding the TV series in Media companion then scraping with kodi... Maybe Media companion isnt putting the Ids in the info files 🤔
