Thanks! I just installed v21.2 and all is well on mine, but I didn't have to enable the SYSTEM INFO widget after the install...strange that it disabled the widget on yours.

Yeah.. I was surprised too, but it could be Nvidia Shield "quirk". I have 1 Firestick 4K so sometime today (after I see all the celebrations going on today) I will install v21.2 there.

Update:
Firestick 4KMAX and 2 other Nvidia Shields Pro did not have this issue.

No, it's not a personal bug...I see the same behavior. Another thing you can do is add a global tag to userdata/keymaps/keyboard.xml...

Then you can select F5 on the keyboard when you move to the next Movie and it will reload the country flag.

It works
I ask if it will be possible to make it automatic in the future.

Hoping you can take a look at something when you can. Typically I use Layout 7 when listening to music. Sometime over the last few updates to the skin, not sure exactly which one, something happened to the artists name and artist logo lower right. Sometimes the Artist name disappears and also it doesn’t seem to scroll thru Artist logos anymore.

You wouldn't want the skin constantly reloading itself every time you move to the next Movie. I did add some code to display the flag using "ListItem.Country" for Movies that only have one country in the database. The flag will change as you scroll through your Movies. When you come to a Movie with more than one country, the flag will not display unless you either open Video Info, back out of Movies and enter again or refresh the skin. However, when you move to the next Movie (whether it has one country or more) you will need to take one of those steps again to display the country flag (if different than the previous Movie). Once you do that, the flag will change for Movies again until you come upon the next Movie with multiple countries. This is still not ideal, but it is improved.

What I meant and if it was possible, if the flag could change while scrolling through the movies if the next movie has only one country, avoiding pressing “F5” each time.
In the presence of more than one country is as you state, the solution is to open the video information.

I'm not able to reproduce the Artist name disappearing, but I was able to reproduce the logo not rotating. I just updated to v21.2 yesterday, but this was working in v21.1. I saw a warning in the log about the Metadata add-on. Do you have an API entered for THEAUDIODB in the Metadata settings? I had 2 entered as the API. I removed that and now the logo is rotating.

Thanks for looking. I wasn't sure what was driving those data elements. I have a API key for THEAUDIODB but I did delete it and that did not seem to change anything. I'll have some time later today to poke around and I'll let you know what I find.

Do you have any copies of your old mods? Maybe 1.5.0 or 1.4.9? Specifically I'd like to do a compare with diffmerge of the musicvisualization.xml file between the current and previous versions in the Layout 7 area of the xml file.

Here is a better description of the problem I am seeing. First pic shows the artists name lower right above the album and I used to see various artist logos rotate thru if found above the artist name and I don't get them at all anymore. Second pic shows the artist name gone but replaced by something else, a little picture and a logo (not sure exactly what you call it). And sometimes I get neither so no artist name and no little picture. This is different than it used to be.

Here are two other examples. The first pic is an example of when I get no artist name. The second pic is another example of where I get no artist name but instead of the artist name I get the little picture (which normally does include the artist name).

Thanks for that pointer. It is definitely something off in the SHOW CLEARLOGO AND CLEARART area for Layout 7. Part of the issue I have in determining exactly when the problem was introduced is that I was not using Layout 7 during the month of December because of the Christmas Holiday.

One other thing to note in order to try to isolate when the problem was introduced. I’m fairly certain that it was working correctly in 1.5.0 and/or 1.5.1 although unfortunately I can’t be 100% certain. I do know for certain that it was working correctly in 1.4.4.

One more update...I mean it..LOL. I grabbed a copy of the MusicVisualization.xml file from v 1.3.3 from 9/15/24 (sorry it was the only old one I had) and copied it in place of the current MusicVisualzation.xml file. Layout 7 works correctly the way it used to. One thing to note is that the problem is a bit different than I originally described - due to my bad/old memory LOL, either the artist name is just static white letters or it rotates thru various versions of the artist name logo (again not sure what to call it) but the logo does not include any picture of the artist (see pic below). The artist name logo changes about once every 3 seconds or so and rotates thru as many as it finds.

LOL. The new clearart/clearlogo/artist text code for music viz is now universal for all layouts. If you have "PREFER: CLEARART" selected for "ART - MUSIC" in SKIN SETTINGS ► CONTEXTUAL ART, you will see the clearart image in all layouts. If clearart is missing for that Artist, it will display the clearlogo for the Artist. If "PREFER: CLEARLOGO" is selected and there are clearlogo images available for the Artist on the fanart.tv website, it will cycle through those. If only one is available on fanart.tv, it will display only that one. If there are no clearlogo images available at fanart.tv, it will display your local clearlogo for the Artist. If that is missing as well, it will display the Artist as text (except layouts 1 & 2 where the Artist's name is always displayed as text). Is that clear as mud? Haha
