Hmm...I was able to reproduce the problem, but it's random. If I open and close the media info 3 or 4 times, it will eventually display correctly. After that, it displays correctly every time I open it. I'll see if I can figure out what the problem is.

I am using the 4k+ and Vero V and the latest OSMC software. On boht machines I'm running AEON MQ 9. I have the following issues: until the version 1.4.3 the widgets in the homepage for Movies, TV Shows, Concerts and Music are showing fine. After updateing now up to 1.5.2 these widget dont show anymore. When I go to widgets management I can see all widgets sorted according to the selections but when returning to the homepage they don't show. When I press the "up"-button the machines freeze. The same freeze happens when selecting any of the "Movies"-filters in the submenu. In addition to this issue I see very often the "sad face" on the Veros when scrolling to the left and right a couple of times and when I mark videos as "mark as watched" and others as well.
I have "flipped" through the 99 pages but have not seen a similar report of a problem, if so I am sorry for being ignorant. I am an absolute fan of this skin and your improvements you are making. I hope you can fix these issues. Thanks in advance.

I updated the widget code back in v1.4.4. This required a skin reset in order to see the widgets. If you've reset the skin since then, make sure you have the value "8" for "widgetsnumber_h" and "6" for "widgetsnumber_v" in settings.xml. That should get your widgets working again and hopefully fix the freeze you're experiencing.

I have tried your suggestion but to no avail. I never did a reset, I just updated the skins to the latest versions. How do I do a reset?

First make sure that you backup your skin settings (and if you have never used skin settings backup before test a restore to ensure it works) via Skin Settings, Restore Settings, Export Skin Settings. Once you have created (and verified that you can restore via Import Skin Settings) your skin settings backup then do a skin reset. Go to Skin Settings, Restore Settings, and click on Show Skin Reset Button then click on Reset Skin. Once the skin reset completes (make sure to wait until it completes) you can restore your skin settings. If you are using the vertical menu setting you may want to switch to horizontal before doing the skin reset to avoid the extra step.

The resetting and restoring worked flawlessly but still the same. When I modify the settings.xml as described above (and veryfy that the file has changed, original valus are 12 and "empty") and restart the computer it has the old values again in the settings.xml.
I am modifying the file like this: "osmc@osmcV1:/home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/skin.aeonmq9.mod$ nano settings.xml". Any other suggestions?

I really appreciate your support, I went back and changed the values, saved them and prerformed a backup. After the backup I checked the values again and they where back to the old ones afther making the backup. It looks like I have no chance the test it with the new values, let alone to make a backup with the new values. When I restored the new back then there were only the old values.
Any thoughts?

After only resetting and not restoring the backup then it worked. It is a small "price to pay" by manually put my settings into place. Thanks guys for your support, you made my day. Lets see whether the "sad face" of the Vero is still appearing so frequently or whether it also improved after the reset.

Im a bit confused about the exact process you went thru so bear with me. Did you follow these steps in this order:
1 Make sure all your settings are exactly the way you want them (including the change that seems to fix your issue).
2 Do a skin settings backup.
3 Do a skin reset.
4 Restore your skin settings (using the backup you created in step 2).

@wags1
no worries.
Since I was messing around with the VeroV and on the end was not sure what cured what, I decided to use the Vero 4k+ and did the following, see my comments in blue (and strike outs) in your 4 items:
1 Make sure all your settings are exactly the way you want them (including the change that seems to fix your issue). I left it as it was with the latest update to 1.5.2, no changes to the settings.xml
2 Do a skin settings backup. yes, just in case
3 Do a skin reset. Yes
4 Restore your skin settings (using the backup you created in step 2). I did the handfull of changes manually and did not restore it.
All is working now as it should and it seems to have, at least for the moment, improved the stability of the skin as well. A simple fix on the end.
Thanks again for your support, any querries feel free to ask.

As long as it works for you that’s all that counts. I make lots of changes to the base skin settings so it would literally take me hours to get it setup again the way I like it after a skin reset if I couldn’t do a skin settings restore…😉
