I've been having several problems for a while now, with XBMC freezing up while using Aeon Nox 3 GIT (latest version I have is 3.0.0.1334875999). I understand the skin is still under development, but I wonder if anynone could help me figure out whether the freezes are due to the WIP nature of the skin, or are just caused by my system.
I have XBMC Eden 11.0 installed on two Windows 7 computers (desktop and laptop), and one Asus EeePC 901 netbook (Ubuntu "Easypeasy" version), and I've been getting the same issues on all of them. XBMC freezes some times when I press UP to bring up the Media Menu, less often when I press DOWN to get the scrollbar, and more often when I'm trying to start a movie or a movie trailer (the video freezes, but I can still hear the audio). When such a freeze occurs XBMC is completely unresponsive, and the only way out is by pressing Alt+Ctrl+Del or reset. The Task Manager shows that XBMC is not using a lot of memory (70-100 MB), and CPU usage is also relatively low. These problems do not occur if I'm using Confluence or the Aeon Nox 2.0 skin.
The two Windows 7 computers have similar setups, both have 2GB of RAM, desktop has INTEL Dual Core E2180 2.40 GHZ, and the laptop has an AMD Athlon Dual Core TK-57 1.90 GHz. The netbook has 1GB of RAM, Intel Atom N270 processor. Here are some debug logs I got from the laptop (loglevel 1 enabled):
UP freeze
DOWN freeze
TRAILER freeze
Again, I am not expecting any direct solution, I'm just confused on whether these problems are caused by my computers, Aeon Nox 3, or XBMC.
